All of these HD/superduty truck arguments you’re inserting into this thread are completely moot.
When the HD Rams were equipped with the 5.7, the highest available towing capacity in those trucks was less than the highest available towing capacity in a 5.7 equipped 5th gen 1500. So we’re right...
What about a janitor? Do they have to have a license to be called a custodial engineer?
I think every single job title in existence can be called some kind of engineer, that’s why when people try to make an argument, and start off by saying “I’m an engineer…” (as if that’s going to solidify...
I’m referring to the 2025 ram, which does have an oil level indicator, and no dipstick.
Me personally, I see no need for a dipstick, and would rather use basic technology that’s been around for decades.

Everything that alfaobd can change, JScan can now change. If you don’t see the settings in adaptation, then go to modules > body controller > configuration. That’s where you can search up the setting names just like they’re named in alfaobd.
The first video with the ram, he has a 2013, the last year they used a dedicated tpms receiver (still no antennas).
The second video is a comedy, and when he mentions Chrysler systems, he is showing a schematic of the door lock system, and the antennas he refers to are actually the antennas for...
You need 30’ of female to female fakra z cable to get from the mirror to the back of the tow mode camera port on the bumper.
You have to use RG58 cable (not the RG174 cable size that’s used for the regular DRVM camera).
I just ignore all their instructions when I pull it on the HD Rams. I leave the ignition off the entire time (as in, I never even put it in run in the first place when connecting to JScan), and the only thing I do is turn on the hazards when it prompts me to.
Like knightro84 was saying, need to know paint color, multifunction tailgate or not, full body color handle, or body color with chrome.
The first “X” knightro84 mentioned will not necessarily be the first letter of the 3 letter paint code, but the last two “X’s” will always be the last two...
