    Truck bed mat removal

Thanks. After posting the question I went back and noticed the screws in the middle of the tailgate. Figured I had saved the ones I took out a year ago. Sure enough I had them in a plastic bag labeled. Nice when it works out that way.

    Truck bed mat removal

Not feeling it on the truck bed mat. I have the Tuff Coat spray-in liner and the mat is more bother than anything else. Collects sand/mulch loads under the edges and just not really needed. Can someone tell me if the four screws across the very end of the tailgate are original screws? Do they...

    Bone head move - help

Thanks for the tips. I have never used a solder, so I was not up to that task especially in this situation. Was short on time to make the dealer appt. for the programming. Got a very, very helpful tip watching a YouTuber. I was stressed how to splice the wires and not cut into them. Very tight...

    Bone head move - help

Here is the horror of it all. Not sure how to tell what gauge the wire is so I can get the correct connector. The wires are smaller than the pic indicates. Yellow wire ain't got much to work with. I can barley get them to meet together.

    Bone head move - help

Only idea I have is to use those no stripping wire connectors. Don't need to try to strip the wire and don't need any room to work with those. Anyone use them?

Installing the OEM brake controller. All going well until I try unwrapping the two plugs and plug into the newly mounted controller. Was being very careful to cut some wrapping off so I could pull the two plugs that were wrapped tightly in some kind of mesh tape. Sure as heck I snipped two of...

AlfaOBD or GenieOBD for brake controller?

This is a bit of a reach for me for a DIY project, but after calling the local dealer and their $160/hr two hour estimate, I'm going to give it the ol' college try. Thanks for that Ebay tip. Once I buy that for $172 what else do I need. Just the AlfaOBD app?

AlfaOBD or GenieOBD for brake controller?

Want to buy the OEM brake controller for my 2022 Ram 1500. Part # 82215278AF. Moparfactoryparts.com has it for $297 (bracket/controller/switch). American Trucks is $399 but includes the GenieOBD. I was planning on buying the AlfaOBD which is $50 if I bought from Mopar. So it's $50 more for the...
