Front Driver’s Side Limited Headlight Halo (?) Not Lighting Up

I just discovered an aftermarket LED kit for the TRX, Limited, and Longhorn projector headlights. These offer multiple colors, but the sealed headlight assemblies must be taken apart to replace/upgrade. https://www.oraclelights.com/products/2019-2021-ram-1500-projector

    Console Safe Options

If I remove the sliding tray the larger safe fits, but I loose the cupholders in the console doing so. I think the trims other than limited and longhorn have the cupholders in the lid.

    Console Safe Options

A mountain brown console in the Laramie is a rare bird though I have seen one. A black console and transplant the Mountain Brown Longhorn lid if it fits. Next question to iron out is the inclusion of the usb ports, and heated/cooled seat controls into a different trim center console. Having the...

    Console Safe Options

Makes me think about finding a Laramie console with the same color as the oem Longhorn, to be able to install the larger console safe. I think loosing the sliding tray in the Longhorn and Limited would be an acceptable trade off.

Front Driver’s Side Limited Headlight Halo (?) Not Lighting Up

Unfortunately I think the issue is the led strip inside the headlight. They are a sealed unit so the only option is to replace the headlight. One note, the midline trim headlights used on Laramie do have aftermarket led replacements, but the disassembly is not a trivial process. For our highline...

My new to me 2022 Ram 1500 Limited

I almost forgot, to use AlfaObd, one needs a security gateway module bypass, I use the Chrysler 12+8 patch cable which is temporary, there are other wire harness options that can be left in place permanently, its all in the forum.

My new to me 2022 Ram 1500 Limited

Yes, nice truck and welcome to the forum. Things that you might consider; purchase AlfaObd software, a wireless Obd2 dongle (I have the obd link Mx+) look up AlfaObd in the forum for all you can do. My signature shows what I have done so far with AlfaObd. What I want to do as of yet: Add keyless...

    Exhaust manifold recall

2019 Laramie Longhorn at 118k miles, drivers side is leaking. I bought the truck at 75k so I don't know if the manifold(s) were changed previously. I recently began parking outside, I wonder if the colder startup temperatures could contribute to more stress on the studs. Taking the truck into...

    Blind spot alert unavailable

Visually inspect the harness and the BSM, the module may be water damaged. Scheduling an appointment with Ram or another mechanic is in order; at least you can get the problem to repeat itself.

    Blind spot alert unavailable

.. or a damaged right blind spot monitor. Carefully inspect the harness and the blind spot monitor. The blind spot monitor may be water damaged which cannot be seen. If nothing is seen, you may have to schedule an appointment at the local Ram dealership, or an independent mechanic to...

A damaged connection either at the harness or the passenger blind spot sensor may be disrupting the Canbus. Other devices on this network that may be affected are: Audio amplifier Central Vision Processing module Comfort seat module Comfort wheel module Connected media center module Display...

    Blind spot alert unavailable

This problem is not unique to Ram, there's a ford tech on y-t that had a F150 platinum with the same issue, truck almost undrivable, leaky taillights damaged proximity sensors, and damaged wiring harnesses.. if I remember the bill was around $7k. Catching the leak early is the key to preventing...

First Dodge (Ram) - oil change question

I am using the Napa Platinum filter (PFL47899), same as used on my 2011 Durango 5.7l. In my local area, the newer style smaller filter for the 5th gen 5.7 is not readily available. The larger diameter oil filter fits fine. A messy oil filter change out is a smaller price to pay for higher hot...

    AlfaOBD

That's exactly what I have, you unplug two connectors from the bottom of the security gateway module and plug them into the matching plug on the 8+12 cable. Then plug in the dongle. Note: you can connect with dongle in acc. but you will not be able to read anything unless the ignition is in run..

    Alfaobd won't program engine hours.

I remember a post, I think it was on the AlfaObd web page somewhere.. Best results at changing EVIC cluster idle and run hours was best performed with a cabled OBD2 adapter. The issue may be the latency of a wireless link over that of a hard wired connection. Obdlink makes two cabled adapters...

New 2023 Longhorn but not new to Rams

I agree with you about the Longhorn grille, to me its toothy and overwhelms the rest of the front end. I have thought about swapping the Longhorn with the Limited grille, much less chrome and it is a drop in installation with the rest of the Longhorn front end. And like you, I chose the...
