That video didn't really give much if anything new. Not in detail. And it is 4 months old.
I still don't know:
- will it pull that grade that they talk about, with a 14K# load, if you start with only 35% battery charge? Or will it only do it if you start up the grade with a fully charged...
That's a fact, Jack! lol!! :D
I don't know about you, but there are (obviously) plenty of people here on this forum, and in life, that are SO keen to hear what sounds good to them that they choose to make it even louder, so they can hear it better and it sounds better to them.
To me, people...
My guess is that if you are towing heavy, in real mountains, it very well could run all or at least most of the time. Especially if you have already run the batteries down to 50% or less or something like that.
Aside from a worst-case scenario like that, it definitely SHOULD not run all the...
Or, the fob at home was close enough to let him start it, and then he never turned it off. And maybe hit Ok on the steering wheel to dismiss the "fob not present" message maybe without even noticing it.
Maybe. Until OP gives more info, it's just another Internet fable.
I paid my dues with about 13 years of Hemi ownership. By modern standards, it is a gutless dog. All bark. No bite. Okay top end power, but total weaksauce in the midrange. All the ones I owned had a 3.92 rear end and still had to downshift gears (often, more than one) just to hold speed up even...
I know my tires don't stick as well when they're not at the temp they were designed for.
And the oil in my engine is not the same viscosity when it's at the temp it was intended to operate at versus a much lower temperature.
Do you think the friction plates (or whatever they're called) in a...
I have not, really. But, was actually looking at the Uconnect nav over the weekend and I think I want to give it a real try. It looked like it might actually be really nice. It looked like it might have some features that could be really handy. I need to play with it some.
But, an example of...
I used to use Waze exclusively. Then something changed and it started giving me routes that were just ... BAD.
After a week or two of that I changed back to Google Maps. But now, very recently, it seems like Google may be starting to do some of that, too.
I can't help wondering if it's...
My brother was just telling me that in the last few months Apple Maps has seemed to do a better job for him than Google Maps.
I just don't want to switch because of all the saved places I have in Google Maps.
But, if I do try Apple Maps, I still don't see turning the HUD back on... :D
Thanks! Now that y'all say that I think I remember reading that before.
I always use Google Maps, so I have never actually seen it (turns in the IPC) myself.
Yeah, the current speed limit shows right at the top of my instrument cluster, too. So, I barely have to look down any further than the HUD to see it there.
I use CarPlay for nav, so it doesn't display in the HUD.
Yes, the problem is that it doesn't stay off. Every time I start the truck the HUD is back on.
I don't like it because:
- it doesn't tell me anything I can't already see by looking just barely a bit lower.
- it displays on the windshield where it is "blocking" my view of part of the road. I...
Well, I finally worked out a solution for this. I set the HUD for a Custom display layout and then deleted all the data widgets from all the fields on the display. So, the HUD is still "on", but it no longer displays anything.
Annoying to have to do that, but at least it's off.
Well, maybe where you live water boils at 180, but where I live it definitely does not boil until it gets to 212 degrees F. In an ambient pressure environment, like inside an engine crankcase.
Well, maybe you know better than the engineers that designed it, and maybe running cooler than they designed it for is just fine.
But, I do know a couple of things:
If we were talking about engine oil, I would say with certainty that making it run cooler is harmful. Engines are generally...
