I dug up the window sticker on my 2025 Laramie. Under the standard equipment, it says "Dampened Tailgate." And, of course, no mention of any power features over in optional equipment where the MFT is shown. I guess that answers my question . . . power (down) release is not even standard...
Good call. I’ll go dig up my window sticker when I get home tonight.
It dawns on me, when I open my tailgate, whether using the normal tailgate function, or the swinging barn door function, the releases are electric. In other words, it’s very clearly not mechanical in nature when I open them at...
I hate responses where someone says, “Nope, my life is awesome, so sucks to be you.” :)
But …. I’ve had to 2025 RAMs of the same color you have (one is being Lemon Law’d), and neither have this problem.
You might have success with a warranty claim.
I did similar this time, and on other occasions throughout my tenured existence :)
The pros to going long distance: You get exactly what you want. Further, you have more leverage to make a deal, as they know they have to be aggressive to entice you to go the distance. That changes, of...
Correct. But, I don't even have a button in the overhead or on my FOB for it. I've got virtually every option a Laramie could have. I wonder if you have to have a Limited to have power down with MFT on the 2025s.
I have a Big Horn with no MFT, and even that thing has power down on the...
Thanks. It looked like in some of the previous posts that power down should be there for MF tailgates, but perhaps not. Or, like I wondered, some other option triggered the power down delete.
2025 Laramie here with Level 2, bed and tow packages, tech group, advanced safety, sunroof, and multifunction tailgate.
Though the Level 2 package clearly says “power tailgate,” I don’t even appear to have a power down function; nothing on the overhead console and not on the key fob. Can...
2025 Laramie, and this is still an issue. Solid 3/16” higher on the driver’s side than the pax. The grill and hood align correctly though, so the issue is definitely at the bumper.
I wouldn’t have noticed except my wife backed up into the truck and put a 2” dent at the very center of the...
I’m obviously not going through 911 pages to determine if my experience is a repeat. But, I have bought two 2025 models now.
In August, I bought a Big Horn with a 3/24 build date. MSRP was $62k, and I got it for roughly $52k, inclusive of rebates. The dealer pulled that crap where they...
For the Laramie and Limited, when the FOB won’t work, the next question is whether the “key card” will work to open the doors? I realize this doesn’t help if the Big Horns ….
They use the chrome for the precise issue expressed here: The black ones chip, and eventually they get surface rust where they chip.
I put black on my Laramie. I'm very careful about not hitting them with an impact, and that seems to have kept them look good so far. But, if it's a work truck...
Well, 500 miles on the odometer, and the wife backed into imy 2025 Laramie and FUBAR’d my front bumper. Is what it is, I guess.
My local dealership can have a new bumper tomorrow and paint it on Monday. Here’s my dilemma…. I can install myself and save $700. More important than the money, I...
Just clicked on this. I have the multifunction tailgate …. glad to have the option but actually wish they had done the RAM lettering instead of the Ram head. To each his own ….
My 2025 1500 Big Horn is being bought back by Stellantis for 1001 electrical issues. One of the things I never addressed, coolant is disappearing from the reservoirs, with no obvious external leak. I have had to top off both the main reservoir and the turbo reservoir 3 times over the 8500...
How did that K&N work for you? Seeing it in your video, I found it on Amazon …. and the reviews are mixed. The complaints about the clamps I can get passed — but the reviews stating it tripped codes make me take pause.
At 8k miles, my 2025 is the same way. Some of its coolant has magically disappeared also. It's being bought back under Lemon Law, so I haven't been too worried about it.
As for the color, though, I assumed the yellowing reservoir also plays into how it appears.
It was definitely the water pump (not the thermostat) on mine -- the dealer was able to see it with a borescope. While the pumps are on national backorder for 45+ days, we were able to find one of the few left in the country at a dealer in Texas. They are shipping it to us. God willing, total...
