Ok dudes. Sadly, Bridgestone quit making the Alenza HL + in the 18” tire size. I’ve ran these on my Rams for years with great performance and 60-70k miles per set.
The extent of my off road use is gravel boat ramps and wet grass so I need something highway focused that does well in light to...
I’ve towed a ton with the truck so far but most of the trips were all flat land where it mostly plugs along in 7th (locked out 8th for tow haul selected and 3.21 gears).
It’s a 21 hemi QC 4x4 BH. My normal trailer runs around 4000 lbs and has a little wind resistance. This run was loaded with...
Yeah, I’ll switch out to Wix when the warranty is up. I just want nice receipts if anything happens since I do all the maintenance myself. First new vehicle I’ve bought so trying to keep it all as easy as possible if anything were to happen.
Didn’t fully trust the 10k interval so I wanted to...
Pennzoil platinum 5-20 and a Mopar filter (because warranty). TBN at 7500 miles (towing 4500 of those) was still 2.1.
No ticking issues with the Mopar filter. The only time I get lifter noise is if I fire it cold for a very short time then restart it some time later (could be next day).
If...
I came indirectly from a 2016 LT 5.3 4x4. Was the beautiful brown color and had every option I wanted. Diehard Chrysler family but my 2010 Ram was such a dumpster fire I switched to these for their high initial reliability rating. First 10k miles were pretty good. Quiet nice power and ok ride...
Hey dudes, just a “little” update here for those who care. A year ago last week I purchased my 2021 Bighorn QC. It’s a hemi non e torque 4x4 with 3.21s in granite crystal. It’s basically the cheapest hemi bighorn you can buy with only two options, remote start and factory floor liners. I added...
I had mixed results with the icons on the Chevy. They had been good on other vehicles. Looks like I’ll likely go Mopar (used to love their standard wipers back in the day). I’d trade exceptional performance for shorter lifespan.
I’ve tried everything on my lady’s car and they all run about 8...
Hey dudes, I’m traditionally very picky when it comes to blades and the factory ones have impressed me so far. The truck was in outdoor inventory for a while so the blades haven’t lived the best life. They have performed flawlessly.
I’m thinking of going back with factory due to the...
I ran my factory fill out to 2500 miles. I had a trip planned towing from Indianapolis to Austin Texas and back and wanted fresh synthetic in before that. Switched to Pen Platinum and a Mopar filter (until warranty is up then likely wix). I plan to change again at 7500 miles (exactly 10k on the...
My 21 5.7 is 5500 miles in on its 2nd oil change. I changed the factory fill at 2500 miles. I hot drained and filled exactly 7qts. It sits exactly at the full hole/mark on the dipstick and hasn’t moved at all over these 5500 miles. Pennzoil platinum used on the oil change.
Hemis have been...
I just returned my worst non towing tank. It’s been colder here (Indiana) and I presume we’ve made the switch to winter blend fuel. 14.75 hand calc and I was in a hurry all week. Mostly city but maybe 20% highway and I beat on it all week. On summer blend and warm weather I was averaging 16.5-18...
I drove a couple 5.7 E torques and standard 5.7s when I was shopping. This may be purely conjecture but I always set my mpg meter on test drives. The non E torque seemed to average about 4 mpg better than the E torque in my drives. I was harder on the non E torque trucks since the sales guys...
4” sounds like exactly what I’m looking to do there. Thanks.
It was possible to remove it upright but it rubbed oil all over multiple tubes/surfaces on the way out. Dumping it and removing sideways would work great.
Awesome thanks for the heads up ! I used to squeeze a standard style funnel between my header tubes on my 67 Plymouth. If not it made for very Smokey post oil changes even if cleaned up throughly.
I picked up my 21 Bighorn a few weeks ago. I like having 4x4 auto as my truck sees use on tons of different boat ramps. Other than getting out of wet grass in our barn lots I will only really need 4x4 for some snow usage.
I was curious about the operation of this case after reading here. In...
Flipped 2500 miles yesterday and I had filters and Pennzoil platinum 5w-20 sourced. I have a 2600 mile towing trip in a week and a half so I wanted to get the factory fill out and the good stuff in.
Oil draining was easy except when the oil stream crosses the sway bar it makes a mess on the...
Happy to report, front/rear diffs completely full as well as my transfer case. I thought the rear was slightly low so I picked up a quart of Mopar synthetic. As soon as I squeezed some in it came right back out the fill hole.
Good work. My 21 non E torque Hemi/3.21 4x4 has been impressing me as well. I was fully prepared to average 15 mpg or less with as much towing as I do reading all the forums. So far my weakest tank has been 16.7 hand calc which was driving to work all week and towing a boat about 50 miles...
