There's no way to answer that question because there are too many variables. Your engine, gearing, driving style, types of roads, etc all figure into it. There are people on this board reporting 21+ MPG with the 5.7 and others with very similar setups reporting low teens.
All you can do is...
Snow and ice are the easy ones. Off road in muddy conditions is also a good case for it. I've even used it to get going from stop lights in the rain when my tires want to slip, then I just put it back in 2WD after I'm going.
Don't worry yourself about damaging the system if things aren't just...
This article on the Hemi MDS was enlightening. I had an idea of how it worked, and I was completely wrong. :ROFLMAO: It does shut four cylinders down, but it increases fuel to the other cylinders to compensate. How does it save fuel then? There's a mechanical advantage to not having to...
I had the same thing happen to me. There are a number of stars that must align for the start/stop feature to work. The drivers seat belt must be on, or it won't work. If the climate control hasn't reached the temp you set...it won't come on. Even if I don't have the heat or AC on...if my fan...
Too early to say. I got the etorque because it's all that was available and i needed a truck. I didn't want it, I hated the very idea of it, but it's all that was out there thanks to the current COVID regulation driven supply-chain issues.
I've grown to accept it. It's almost seemless in...
Ivoryhemi, that 21 MPG figure for a 5.7 with 3.92's is amazing.
I know that every driver is different, and everyones definition of "highway" is so different that it's basically a meaningless word, but that dash shows you did 66 MPH and averaged 21 MPG.
I ran my truck on an empty highway at...
It's 52 degrees outside. I used remote start on the truck and the panel displayed "Climate System Off". It did nothing.
I just searched through the owners manual and found the temp ranges that apply this, and it looks like the ambient temp has to be below 40 degrees for the Auto setting to...
Does yours ever change fan speed? Or is it the same all the time?
Does yours ever blow from the vents on the dashboard when in Auto?
My biggest concern is the fan speed, simply because I can crank it manually to a higher speed and heat the cabin much faster than Auto will do.
I had to test mine out tonight to figure out what was going on. I've got a '21 Rebel. When I use "Auto" for heat, my truck only blows to the floor, and it only blows at one speed. It blows at the same speed from a cold start, all the way until the cabin temp reaches the target. Engine temp...
Very interesting post. The first time I washed my truck I noticed the bottom of the drivers side door is out of alignment...it sticks out away from the body just a bit. I figured I might be a one-off. Apparently not.
I've had my 2021 Rebel for about a month now. When I wash the truck I noticed that when the sideview mirrors get wet (spraying from the front of the truck and hitting the backside of the mirror) the mirror mounted turn lamp illuminates and the headlights come on for a bit. I can't find...
