Headlights come on when sideview mirrors get wet

I've had my 2021 Rebel for about a month now. When I wash the truck I noticed that when the sideview mirrors get wet (spraying from the front of the truck and hitting the backside of the mirror) the mirror mounted turn lamp illuminates and the headlights come on for a bit. I can't find anything in the owners manual explaining what's going on with this.

It's not a big deal, but I am curious as to which feature on the truck is doing this.

If you have your key fob on you it could be that the water is splashing onto the door handles which do everything you mentioned .

Keep your fob away and it won’t happen as much

Yeah, it's actually water hitting the door handle and you have your key on you. I put my key inside the truck while I'm washing.
