yeap.
i'd gone Thuren because of all the added weight and i push my suspension beyond 99% of the people here, so Thuren (again, if they were in stock at the time of ordering parts circa 2022) would be the ideal one to go with so I wouldn't have to customize the kit and do the math myself.
but...
you're welcome hahaha
if you're up for it you can rent a lift and do it by yourself (that is, if you have an understanding of how things come together and how they work)
not sure if those rent-a-lift type of places still exist or not.
go with fox 2.5 dsc then lol costs more yes but i was able to do "speed limit" on Alcan and Dempster with millions of potholes. Other people were going half of speed limit and doging potholes while I was casually cruising through all of them singing my heart out to some 80s and 90s tune lol
glad you found a way to make it work.
every time i see a bunch of junk on fuse box lid and i need to do diagnosis I have to get painkiller for headache lol
no joke i have a bottle of 1000 pills of painkiller at the shop for all kinds of mickey-mouse-work-and-parts induced headache.
i love it.
costs more but it's been great. stands up to high speed desert runs and it's easy to put the tablet in/ take it out.
they recommend doing it the horizontally but i'm used to seeing navi in vertical and so far it hasn't let me down yet after all these trips and all these high speed...
yeah hahahaha i thought you wanted to regear the front.
swapping front diff shouldn't be too hard. shouldn't take more than a day.
but yes, regearing the front is possible. someone asked in another thread and I posted the part numbers/ link, but i forgot which one it is lol definitely a lot...
Noticed my battery read 11.8 over the weekend when I went camping and woke up early in the morning.
But once the solar panels are getting sunlight it charge back to over 12.5 and sometimes go up to 13.5.
Battery tester said battery's still good, but I'm thinking about swapping it out (but at...
so the BDS kit is basically a Fox 2.5 DSC with UCA and rear springs
UCA - generic tubular UCA, not boxed design
rear springs - unknown spring rates
there's no additional benefits in terms of increase droop or tuned valving. BDS is basically a factory store for Fox suspension, and that's it...
1. you don't need 3.5" to fit 35s, you can fit 35s with 2" and some trimming. If you wheel hard then chopping will be needed no matter what
2. do NOT get spacer lifts, it is an incorrect and mickey mouse way to do things for the front. Just do the 2" for the front. For the rear, because it's a...
if going cheap you might as well go to a junkyard and get one from wrecked trucks...
it's one of those jobs that if I do it once I don't want to do it again. just did it on a JT 3 weeks ago. swapped the actuator for a cheapo one from Dorman and it worked for a week before crapping itself...
if you want 3.92 you can probably find a wrecked truck from the junkyard and get the front diff, instead of regearing?
IFS fronts are no fun and that's why we don't do it in our shop. Solid front are much easier to do and quick turnaround time.
it's not the simple "no one wants to make money."...
i use Gaia and briefly used OnX.
I used Gaia on iPhone circa 2020 and that was quite a lot of processing needed to run GMap, Gaia, Spotify, Camera, all at the same time. So I got myself a cheapo Samsung Android Tablet (I think Tab A 7?) and it worked great for a year or so until the eventual...
professionally I'd recommend mount it somewhere away from the fuse box.
it's all nice and clean until you need to replace a fuse or electrical gremlin come visit you.
especially when you're out and about and you need to check your fuse, you gotta rip the controller off the fusebox and it will...
