Hey everyone,

I know suspension threads have been beat to death at this point, I suppose the reason I'm reaching out is because things have changed a little at this point
I just purchased a 2022 sport and want to get 35's on it ASAP

I haven't purchased them yet but I found a set of used fox 2.0 (2 inch level) shocks both front and rear for a good price, A LOT CHEAPER than the Bilstein 5100's which is what I was initially intending on buying - pic down below

Overall I'm looking to achieve a 3.5 inch lift to fit 35's without doing a crazy amount of chopping, aside from the shocks themselves I know I need the UCA's, some sort of top hat spacer and something to level out the rear (springs?)
I was thinking of buying the SST ready lift 3.5 inch kit and only using the parts I need but I am more than open to options and would love hearing others opinions.
Also if anyone has these shocks or knows anything about them I'd love to hear, I tried doing a little bit of research and I see most have the adjustable shocks but I have yet to really see these.

Thanks in advance (sorry if I didnt follow some sort of correct formatting, this is my first post here lol)

1. you don't need 3.5" to fit 35s, you can fit 35s with 2" and some trimming. If you wheel hard then chopping will be needed no matter what
2. do NOT get spacer lifts, it is an incorrect and mickey mouse way to do things for the front. Just do the 2" for the front. For the rear, because it's a solid axle setup, you can get away with using spring spacers, though I don't recommend. Much better to use correct spring-rated springs.

Just a heads up as well, FOX is the softest setup besides OEM. I only say that because you were looking at Bilstein. Also better to buy once, cry once and get what you want the proper way then to throw things together.

Yeah, no hats on your Foxes. And you don't need them. 2 inches is all you need for your 35's. Post some pics when you're done.

Honestly a softer ride that can handle slightly rougher bumps than stock is exactly what I'm looking for. Roads up here in Canada land are absolutely riddled with potholes and constant rougher areas. If I had nice smooth roads or did a crazy amount of highway driving I think id enjoy the bilsteins a little more but for my use case these might be perfect.

Still shopping around for 35s but might be picking up a set of 35's on 18 inch fuel shoks in bronze. Think it'll fair up well with the charcoal Grey truck I ended up with. Will definitely post pics as soon as everything is done

go with fox 2.5 dsc then lol costs more yes but i was able to do "speed limit" on Alcan and Dempster with millions of potholes. Other people were going half of speed limit and doging potholes while I was casually cruising through all of them singing my heart out to some 80s and 90s tune lol

I've always been a fan of polished. But since my charcoal truck has nothing but black trim I thought it wouldn't work. As much as I hated to I went with black Fuel Shoks.

Ended up getting everything all put together and went alright for the most part, truck looks great. Tried to get the 35s to fit with just the shocks and would've had to do too much cutting for my liking since they are 12.5" wide. Especially on a brand new (to me) truck. Ended up having to "mickey mouse" my why into getting them to fit.

Ended up getting the readylift sst 3.5" kit. For the front, I used the tophat spacer with the fox's and the UCA. For the rear I used the fox's once again with the readylift spring spacer and the bump stop spacer. Still had to remove my front spat for the tires to not rub at full crank while hitting a bump. Front end drives and handles great. The rear feels too stiff and ill probably end up getting different springs and removing the spacer.

In all honesty I don't plan to take this thing in the bush much at all aside from camp and local gravel roads. Trails are too tight around here and id end up ruining my paint instantly. I've had my fun beating on a rig in the bush with my tacoma. For the interim this thing will be a pavement princess lol, I'm not proud of it but I have the balls to say I'm a phony.

As a general price overview, I picked up everything used
Fox 2.0 450$
Readylift sst 3.5" kit 350$ (also got a full set of weathertech mats thrown in)
Toyo open country MT 35x12.5x18 (almost brand new) with fuel shok 18" with a -12 offset 1900$
Everything together came up to 2700$ CAD or just under 1950 USD

All in all, it may not be the "right" way to do it but I'm happy for now. Once these tires are worn I may go with a skinnier tire and try to fit them "the right way".
