You can apply the provided weather stripping on your tailgate but you'd see it everytime you'd drop the tailgate.

UPDATE: Got the truck back from the dealer, they had a "water specialist" come in and take a look at it, he found 3 areas where it was leaking into the driver side cabin. One was the pinch weld in my post and the other 2 were where the fender meets the firewall. He patched them up with paint...

Well today I dryed the 8 inch by 8 inch wet patch on my driver side carpet, then I applied silicone to a small hole in the welding bend that was allowing small amounts of water into my cab. Hopefully it's fixed.

I have not the slightest clue. I used some silicone to fill in the hole so we'll see how that holds up. I have an appointment Monday at my dealership to have my truck looked at. I'm going to request new carpet.
