I only run mid grade 89 octane as the manual suggests. You might try it out and see if that helps.
Per the manual.
This engine is designed to meet all emissions regulations and provide satisfactory fuel economy and performance when using high-quality unleaded gasoline having an octane range of...
I bought my mat as a mopar accessory and got 2 recall notifications. The dealer had a hard time with the recall since it wasn't tied to my vin. I had to show them my sales receipt for the mat then the parts dept guy exchanged the old mat for the replacement version. It was a hassle but finally...
Using AlphaOBD has anyone enable the Performance Pages on their RAM?
I have the 8.4 uconnect head unit and was curious if the performance pages can be added to the apps?
Got the OBDGenie and door modules today in the mail and installed them. Success!!! power fold, auto dim and heated mirrors work.
For grins I ran the Genie before I installed the door modules. The power fold switch and mirrors had been installed several months ago.
It didn't work so the door...
I found the part numbers for the door modules and other parts.
6842179AB Left Front Door Module
6842178AB Right Front Door Module
68262252AC Left Front Switch:
68276501AC Left Mirror (Heated, Power Fold, Puddle Light, Turn Signal, Auto Dim)
68276500AC Right Mirror (Heated, Power Fold...
For those that installed the kit. Are the mirrors heated too? Do you know the part # for the left and right door modules. I already have the mirrors and switch installed but need to genie and the 2 door modules.
The problem is that the factory doesn't lube the oil filter seal during assembly so it's a pain to remove the first time.
On this truck the first oil change I had the dealer do since it was free. I've done them all since and the bag over the filter helps
but I put rags over the diff/rack area...
I had a 2014 RAM regular cab. There is more room than you think behind the seat.
For a sport truck you can't beat the look of it although impractical.
When I was shopping for my 2019 quad cab it was difficult to find since everything seemed to be crew cab only.
I've heard that the Regular cab accounts for only 5% of the market.
I did a crude ms paint rendition of a regular cab using my Quad Cab.
What do you think?
I have a non truck friendly garage too and got around it by having a tennis ball hanging on a string from the ceiling.
When pulling into the garage I line up the tennis ball to the center of the instrument panel and pull forward so that the ball barely touches the windshield.
It works...
There are 2 different styles of bezels for tow hooks.
The Rebel uses part # 68274703AA and has a rectangular cutout for only where the tow goes through the bezel.
Bighorns, Limited etc use 68274701AB bezel that is totally opened up and has a gap around the tow hook.
From the manual 89 is recommended 87 acceptable but may result in light knock.
The engine has a 10.5:1 compression ratio so use 89 octane as RAM suggests.
You're right leveling kits on the back reduce payload unless adding bags or shocks, the rake isn't that much for this truck.
The payload was removed quickly when I got to my destination so it din't linger.
Seems like the most I've had in the bed before was 16 bags of mulch.
