While I personally don’t care if the seats are 100% leather or are mostly leather, my concern is durability and longevity. Unfortunately the only way to determine that is to put it through its paces and give it time.
You at least know with 100% leather that it will last, or at least it should.
The 2K power inverter is not an option at this point in time. If that is on your truck, then theoretically, it may never be built or may only be about once they figure that out, which who knows when that will be? You may be waiting a really long time if you can’t get them to either change the...
I wonder how much of what gets built and what doesn’t is determined by which dealer placed their order. We have seen that orders from Mark Dodge seem to come through quick. I ordered one from a different dealer two weeks before and it is still scheduled whereas the one I ordered through Mark...
On my Ford, it doesn’t actually have sensors on the wheel to know if your hands are actually on it or not. It just senses if the steering wheel moves or has pressure applied to it. Could it be the same way on your Ram? I get notices to put my hands on the wheel and all I have to do is nudge the...
They obviously do serious volume, and it seems as though their trucks get preferential build dates as well. That’s the only way I can explain why and identical truck ordered through them two weeks after the one from my local dealer is already being produced and the one from my local dealer is...
The 596893 truck is mine. I ordered it from MD a couple weeks after I had placed an identical order with a local dealer. The local order is still “scheduled” but the MD order has rushed right on through production. Still says it won’t ship until Oct 23 but at least it’s going.
They have shown that they aren’t going to ship out these new trucks until they fix the problem, or at least think it’s fixed. That should help with warranty stuff, right? If they decided to just ship them out now then I’d agree more.
Yeah. Not normal behavior to fill up entire garages or parking lots with trucks instead of sending them out after a short amount of time. They are holding onto them until they figure something out. There’s QC issues somewhere.
Sometimes it is good to vent but you can't vent to someone in the same situation otherwise you just end up riling each other up.
You vent to your wife and she listens to you and then tells you to suck it up.
Back to wondering what exactly the manufacturing issues are, it's a safe bet that...
I am sure that it is a self selecting audience that the people who have issues are the ones who come on here to complain, but it sure does seem like they are having a lot of quality control issues.
I guess they want to be extra triple positively sure that there isn’t anything wrong with the truck before it is sent out?
Maybe there are software/firmware issues with components that don’t have a fix yet?
Maybe there are random parts that can be bolted on but aren’t in stock yet?
At this...
Asked my Dealer about status right now. He said build is complete and it’s in inspection right now. Estimated ship date is still Oct 23 so he suspects it goes into storage for a while. Says he sees a lot of them like that. Must be holding onto them so that if any problems arise, they can fix...
Mine is in a similar spot. In production since Aug 5 but estimated delivery is not until Oct 23.
Wonder if it could be waiting on certain parts? Something they can mfg the truck but not finish it? Like a screen or special part or something? I have no knowledge of anything like this but it would...
Your vehicle order number is provided to you by your dealer when you place the order. Once the vehicle is scheduled is when you should get a vehicle identification number. I do not believe you’ll have a production date without the other two bits of information
Bedliner is a Mopar item, right? I’d assume the Sidesteps are definitely a “made for” item manufactured by someone else.
Having seen some have a month long delay from mfg to ship date I’m guessing that’s “normal” right now. Mine shows a 2 month delay which seems excessive but I’m hoping that...
