You have a classic, not a 5th gen. Try loosening the parking brake star screw further. Also, not sure if it's the same on 4th gens, but make sure you have the takes in service mode

The muzzy hack only blocks off one hose to stop constant flow. If you don't have both the in and out hoses blocked off, as coolant pressure rises, it will still push fluid out a leaking heater core
