Excellent info! Part ordered! How does it mount to the windshield? It's there some kind of bracket or mount or anything else that needs to be ordered? I won't have my truck until Thursday, but would like to get everything in hand when I get it back. Thanks!

That's weird. I use with my RAM (and have been using for 10 years with many other vehicles) a 10 years old, $7.99 Chinese ELM 327 plug without any problems.

Subtract 250rpm and add 2.3 mpg to each of your results and you'll have almost exactly what I got (+/- 0.1 mpg) today on my BigHorn (5.7 eTorque Quad Cab 4x4, 3.21) as I went there and back on a 25mi fairly flat, empty stretch of expressway with virtually no wind. Empty truck+full tank+me...
Well, I'm joining the club. I remote started my truck in today's crispy 19F, hoping to have a nicely warmed up seat and steering wheel when I get in. Unfortunately, the truck "thought" it was... 50F outside! That's what my Uconnect was displaying and of course the seat and wheel heater did not...
You need a Bluetooth OBD II adapter and Secure Gateway Module bypass. And an Android phone / tablet. Many threads on the forum about AlfaOBD and connecting it to your truck.
Search for "elm327 obd2 bluetooth" on Amazon, any of these should work.
When it comes to SGM bypass, I use this one...
Stakeout??? For a stakeout you'd need a thick blanket to cover your dashboard display, because - for reasons incomprehensible to me - this thing will light up and stay lit with its full power for quite a long time. At the same time we can't have interior lights that'll turn on when you park and...
Looks like something is triggering the AutoPark feature for some reason. Here's how it works (from the manual):
"If the vehicle is not in PARK and the driver exits the
vehicle with the engine running, the vehicle may AutoPark.
AutoPark will engage when all of these conditions are met:

Well, to keep your tire performance consistent you should maintain your pressure (either sticker / recommended or your preferred psi) at the same level regardless of the outside temperature. That means you may need to air up and down according to the weather. Note that manufacturer-recommended...
@ramhead - Dude, of course. I understand and agree with all that you said above. That's not the point, though.
IF (and IF is the keyword here) your tires don't perform optimally for you, feel free to experiment (within reasonable boundaries of course). Hell, I do that myself a lot - went from...
@rorischak @ramhead I'm not looking for argument and I'm not "triggered" whatever that means. And no, I don't consider the manufacturer all knowing. Chances are though that they're more knowledgeable and have determined proper specs for their products based on research and testing and not on...
And on what basis you're assuming that 32 is "too low" for RAM? Did you do any technical analysis, research and tests? Because I have a feeling that the manufacturer might have done that.
Or does it just "seem too low"? Sorry, but that's not a sufficient technical justification for me, and...
So basically you're thinking the manufacturer purposefully gives you wrong information on your vehicle sticker, to lower your fuel economy and increase tire wear, right? Based on the fact that "your last RAM was 39/39". OMG. Just stick to your sticker (LOL) and you'll be fine.

I guess I'd be fine with 8.5ish in the mountains. We'll see - we'll be heading west this spring. Are you in Tow/Haul mode all the time?

Also, I purchased these:

We snap them on when my wife is driving, as she feels more confident with some extra mirror /...
I should have probably mentioned that my 11-13 mpg is on incredibly boring flats of the Midwest (IL, MI, WI, IA, NE) and we travel light (me + wife + 300 lbs of stuff), but these are real, calculated numbers I'm getting.

No, it won't loosen up. What exactly do you expect towing at 75 mph?
It's not even about the weight. V-nose or not, you're dragging a big box through the air. Aerodynamic drag increases almost exponentially with speed (2x the speed, 4x the drag). Your gas 1500 is not exactly a Diesel beast...
