Your better off with no tank. Compressors put out more air at lower pressures. Which is perfect for tires and toys. Pumping a tank to 90+ psi just takes longer and adds no value for your use case. And for tools, battery operated tools are better than pneumatic tools for most applications.

Depends on what your going to do with compressor. If your going to run any kind of air tools, you want a tank. If its primarily for filling tires your better off without a tank.

Had the same problem when I put on running boards. It is just a protective finish on the bolts to keep then from rusting. Don't retap then as you will remove the protection. Just use a bigger wrench and tighten then down.

No idea. But I would suggest that you start pulling fuses, to find out. Pull a bunch of fuses for everything that is not "critical", and monitor current drain. If it stops, put back in some fuses, and keep monitoring it for current draw. Keep doing this until you find "the" fuse that is...
