Yeah, I don't think it's normal either. None of my other cars with large infotainment screens ever did that. I was hoping that some others who've noticed it on theirs and took it to the dealer would share what the dealer said/did.
Does anyone else notice that the infotainment screen will have ghost images of whatever screen you were on previously? It's just sort of annoying during normal driving, but when the backup camera comes on and you can still see your radio display or whatever, it diminishes the quality of the...
I tow a 31ft TT. I don't have TRSC, but my truck's blind spot monitor sometimes gives me "Auto" the whole time or 20ft as the trailer length. I found that after making a couple turns or changing lanes on the highway (using turn signal) it will change to 30ft.
I've actually wondered if zig...
Yeah, the only time I hear it is under light acceleration and the radio turned off. Like I said, it's not a concern. I just wondered if it was the eTorque doing its thing.
I hear a very faint whistle sound (lasts about half a second) when the truck shifts from 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3. I assume it's the eTorque doing its shift-smoothing thing. Has anyone else heard theirs do it? Is it an eTorque thing or a RAM 1500 thing?
It doesn't seem to be a problem, just an...
17.97 mpg over 20 non-towing fill-ups with 89 octane at 25/75 city/hwy with my hwy work commute speeds around 75-78 mph. I guess the hills here in Northern LA qualify as rolling.
I'm glad I stumbled upon your post. I am contemplating my next tire purchase, because the stock Bridgestone Alenza tires are way too mushy for towing heavy. I tow a 7,000lb travel trailer and I was hoping those Terraincontact H/T's with XL load rating would be a good compromise between towing...
The brightness on my reflector LED's seems to be ok. The problem I had when I purchased my truck was that they were not aimed properly. They were way too far down. I did the whole measure from the ground to the center point of the light housing and back up 25 feet from a wall, etc... The top...
I just realized (or remembered doing this is more like it) my mistake after reading your replies. I had my TT hooked up to the truck via 7-pin and towed for a short distance (23.7 miles) when I realized I had Trailer 2 (Utility) selected in the menu screen. So it recorded those miles under the...
I should have made it clear that I renamed Trailer 1 "Travel" and Trailer 2 "Utility". Just in case a noob goes in to the menu looking for those trailer names and all they see is 1 2 3 4 and they think they need a trip to the dealer. :ROFLMAO:
Mine does. I just went and checked and when I select "Utility" trailer in the main screen menu, it shows I've towed my 4-flat plug utility trailer 23.7 miles. My "Travel" trailer selected shows 5031.8 miles.
Right! I never have trusted the computer for MPG. Mine is all over the place. Sometimes it's up to 1 mpg optimistic and I've seen it like .7 mpg the other way.
I'm averaging 17.96 mpg at 75% highway driving. Truck has almost 31k miles now. Window sticker says 19 combined, so I'm happy with...
My 3rd brake light doesn't leak, but the other day the passenger side white bed light section went out. This is concerning to me, because LED's are supposed to last a very long time. I've contacted the dealer to get a replacement under warranty. I assume it will get a whole new light...
Yes, the marks were on the outer circumference.
I will try to remember your recommendation about a different tech inspecting the diff case carrier bearing seats IF it happens again. I'm hoping the new parts fixed the problem for good.
There must be some sort of dealership service department...
Picked it up just now. I asked him how he could tell the parts were damaged by "overloading" and not by improper installation, defect, or fluid breakdown. His reply was basically that in his 30 years of experience, the markings he saw on those bearings are from overloading. I still don't know...
