Whipped up my own front skid plate.

Since RAM didn't think it was important, I just made my own front skid plate out of some 1/8'th inch steel plate I had left over from another project. Not enough for rock crawling, but will easily keep branches, sticks and other debris out of my drive belts and hoses. I didn't like having my...

New UCAs necessary for 2 inch leveling kit?

I installed the Ready Lift 2" level along with the Ready Lift UCA's. I also had to "finagle" one side of mine a bit to get the bottom mounting bolt to go through the hole. No biggee really and after 1000 miles no problems. I went with the Ready Lift UCA's due to their heavy construction...

    Tire Weight Question

So I'm contemplating ditching the factory Duratracs for larger (285/75-18) Falken AT3W's. 33.4" vs 34.8" tire.... the problem I have is that the Duratrac weighs 54 lbs and the AT3W weighs 66 lbs. 12 lbs MORE rotational weight at each corner. Can anyone who has moved up to larger Load Range E...

My Ram started making a creaking noise

Sounds like rubber bushing squeaking. It could be control arm bushings, lower shock mount bushings or sway bar to frame mount bushings. Get underneath and have someone jounce the front end up and down and listen. I'm betting sway bar bushings because I have those start squeaking on me on...

    Bumps Feel Like Bottoming Out

Thank you Memphis. I suppose I will take it in to the dealership and ask them what they think.... I'm sure I will get the "it's normal" reply from them though.

    Bumps Feel Like Bottoming Out

I checked torque on the upper strut nuts and they were where they needed to be also. Sigh... still wondering if this is just "normal" for this truck. Thank you.

    Bumps Feel Like Bottoming Out

Thank you Memphis! I put a torque wrench on the tie-rod end nuts and made sure they were torqued properly. I will check upper strut mount bolts next.

    Feels like bottoming out

Hey Everyone. New guy on the forum with a question. I posted this in the Rebel specific forum, but thought I would try on the suspension forum also. I've noticed whenever I go over an entrance to a drive for a business that has an exceptionally high entrance curb, one or both of my front shocks...

    Bumps Feel Like Bottoming Out

Hey Everyone. New guy on the forum with a question. I've noticed whenever I go over an entrance to a drive for a business that has an exceptionally high entrance curb, one or both of my front shocks feel like they are bottoming out. If I go slowly, no problem, but if I turn into the drive at...
