Don't think this is it - I bought mine about a month ago and they were in process of removing the shrink-wrap from it when I took it for a test drive so assume it was built recently. Mine is 4x4 but has 'regular' springs.
Maybe they made the ones with tow controller lower so we don't need a hitch with as much of a drop. They were just looking out for us and wanted the best tow experience possible. /s
This is identical to my build except I have the trailer control option and remote start - if either of those trigger a lower ride height (I am 1" short) that would be extra stupid.
Same here. It definitely takes some higher fan speeds to cool down the truck in 100+ degree temps (AZ) but isn't any worse than my Wrangler and is what I expected... I did test drive it on a hot Phoenix summer day so not like they tricked me into this. My old Taco and my wife's Mazda crossover...
Think there are quite a few of us here that did that upgrade. I swapped my 2016.5 (first couple months of 3rd gen) Taco for a crewcab Bighorn with 5.7L and 4x4 a little less than a month ago. Briefly considered ecodiesel but the prior gen issues plus the higher maintenance scared me off (plus...
ARB TRED Pro's are my traction boards (most my gear is shared with my Jeep, so lots of ARB, WARN, and Rotopax taking up space in my garage). They are easy to mount as have holes that give good options for where to strap to just about anything so not too worried about getting those to hook on...
Awesome. You make it, price it reasonable, and I will be ordering at least the front panel and likely a side too. Haven’t seen a good option for my rotopax gear or traction boards yet, so I won’t (and likely plenty of others) have any option but to give you my money...
Seems kinda cruel to post this in the 5th gen 1500 section then say it is only for the HD trucks. Would be very interested if for the 5th gen since nothing else on the market for it. Mains care about for me are multiple rotopax mount spots and minimal drilling into bed required.
And looks like I am also an inch shorter than supposed to be... I was kind of relieved it slid into the garage when my online math said it was going to be a tight fit (garage has a decent "lip" to get into and the door doesn't go up all the way...). But yeah, now wondering if I care it is not...
I went a much cheap route with mine (didn't have a choice as the only BTS in stock had a "naked" bed) of the Mopar bed mat (~$150) that also covers the tailgate and one of those ratcheting cargo bars (like $25 on amazon) as a divider. Hasn't held more than a lumber trip to home depot and a few...
Wish I didn't see this thread, now I feel obligated to go measure my truck but afraid what I will find out. Dumb part is I am/was happy with the ride height and ride quality, but if I find out I got "ripped off" with non ORP springs I will suddenly not be happy... so really guys, thanks.
Same as this guy - that stuff takes out the issue of cleaning overspray off the glass/screen etc. as it is safe on glass and looks good (no tacky armor-all style shine). Also use 303 Aerospace on exterior plastic and bed cover (Jeep 'community' swears by it for the miles of black plastic those...
Hello, picked up my new Bighorn Built to Serve edition a few weeks ago. I was cross-shopping a Rebel, Trail Boss, and Raptor then came across the Built to Serve edition that was just about perfect for my needs (dislike chrome might have been biggest care about in retrospect) and came in a color...
Yeah, that is why I want to see a picture of a "fixed" one. I couldn't find a way for my pedal to get caught on it. If it is just that the floormat could go over the pedals if you put in back in wrong after cleaning it... that is dumb and all of my vehicles from 3 different brands (and all...
Thanks - I should have realized that was a module since there was some play in it. New bulb is in and works good, other bulb is lost in the abyss down there - removed various panels with no bulb in sight so hoping it just shakes itself free and falls out...
I attempted going above the $2999 limit and it won't let me proceed. So just going to send a bunch of $2999's as that seems to work. I just don't like loans/debt as it makes me despise whatever thing I am paying on, so just want the debt gone and title in hand...
