    Transfer Case Control Lighting

I agree, it is quite a jump from the highest “dim” setting to max. This is interesting though, all of my lights are on all the time if any headlights/parking lights are on, and others turn off completely at max setting. I wonder if this is by design between models or if there is something wrong...

Auto Side Step Problem - Stuck Deployed

My Tahoe was an 09, so I would think the quality/technology/reliability of this type of system would be improved over the past 10 years, but I wasn't willing to risk it personally. I hope they are better now for everyone who has them on the new ram.

Auto Side Step Problem - Stuck Deployed

My former Tahoe had the auto deployed running boards. They were stuck either down or up for about half the mileage I put on the car. For this reason alone, I wanted to steer clear of them on my new ram. I really liked them when they are working, but too finicky in my opinion.

Weathertech or the Mopar Rubber Slush mats

I know it seems there is already a consensus, but I figured I would report back. I got the MOPAR mats installed last night and I do not see any way weathertech or any other brand could offer a better option.

    Road noise- interior

I finally had dry roads this morning and can confidently report the seal has eliminated the original sound issue completely for me at all speeds. I still get tire noise, especially at interstate speeds on concrete, but I would think that is more tire related and is probably normal. When these...

    Transfer Case Control Lighting

This morning I decided to test this out and found that my truck does not work this way. If the parking lights, headlights, or auto lights are on, the transfer case control lights are on no matter where I have the dimmer. They do not get any brighter than when the dimmer is just below the max...

Engine smell for 2019 ram rebel

You may be on to something, I could see all three of those being possible causes of a rotten egg smell, but I am not convinced any of those are the issue with my truck. I would think a catalytic converter issue would be easily traced and would most likely cause the CEL to illuminate. I would...

Weathertech or the Mopar Rubber Slush mats

I actually requested the red logo version when the regulars were sold out only to be told they were sold out too. I am not sure which set showed up. I don't have a rebel either, but the red logo looks pretty cool.

    Transfer Case Control Lighting

Interesting, I guess I haven't ever turned the dimmer all the way up, I keep it just below the max detent.

Weathertech or the Mopar Rubber Slush mats

I just got a call from the dealer that my mats are in and ready for pickup. Just in time for the next round of snow!

    Transfer Case Control Lighting

The control on my Laramie is lit, I would imagine your Longhorn should definitely be lit. Is it just the lettering on the buttons that is not lit or do you not have the amber indicator light on the selected mode either?

Engine smell for 2019 ram rebel

@JeffP What is the build date on your original rebel? Also, could you check the build dates on the trucks you're test driving? There was a suggestion in this thread " STINKY 2019 Bighorn 1500 5.7 Hemi " that this smell was only from certain build dates. It looks like most people in that thread...

    Road noise- interior

I have noticed that there are two in the back wall of the cab. I have covered the center one from the linked thread with microfiber towels to try to lessen the road noise. In that post, I was actually talking about the vents below the rear doors in the door jamb that are visible when you open...

Engine smell for 2019 ram rebel

I also have this smell. It was very noticeable the first week I had the truck, especially after parking in the garage. It has dissipated considerably since then. I only notice it now if I walk around the front of the truck immediately after driving or if I pop the hood while warm (i.e. check oil...

    Road noise- interior

Thats good to know, I will give that a try. Also an interesting thought about the vents being for sub and etorque. I wonder if that would mean non-etorque truck have an open vent that is just a straight shot to the interior. If anyone has pulled the carpet back in this area I would be interested...

    Road noise- interior

I still have the microfiber on the vent as I didn't want to pull the liner again yesterday, but I didn't have the towel under the seat this morning. I will stuff it back in and see if that helps too. I am also wondering what those vents are for on the rear door jambs, before finding this thread...

    Road noise- interior

I picked up one of these seals yesterday and installed it on my October build. In my one drive so far, I agree with @drumexpert in that the biggest change is when speeds are below 50mph. I have a Laramie with the stock bridgestones. I will say the interstate I was driving on this morning is...

Weathertech or the Mopar Rubber Slush mats

I just got an update from my dealer earlier today that they are expecting 54 sets to be in stock on 1/21 in the local warehouse. I’m not sure how many dealers that warehouse supplies or how large the territory is, but hopefully this signals an end to the long backorders. I’m hoping this info is...
