No, I did the install myself, very easy but took me a good day to do it (some cutting and welding involved). What I did was basically cut the MBRP muffler off (which I wasnt using anyway) and just welded in the new muffler. The vacuum module is in my left floor bin behind the drivers seat and I...
The dealer said as much but that implies that a leak is as simple as tightening up the bolts? Assuming there isn't a broken bolt or manifold? What about where there would normally be a donut? When the Y becomes 1?
2019 RAM 1500 Rebel with 5.7L
I started with the MBRP because they are local and were relatively cheap. Sounded incredible, quite loud and very raspy (which I love) but I do live in a cookie cutter subdivision where there is barely 6 feet between my home and the neighbours and you can imagine...
Quick update. When to the RAM dealer and guess what they told me? There is no gasket at the manifolds to the exhaust piping, nor is there a donut gasket where the 2 pipes merge into one. The only gasket they show as being present in the entire exhaust system is the one flange right before the...
Even as someone living in Canada (where it can get to high 30's and high 40's with humidity) I can tell you the AC is absolute garbage in these trucks. It works, don't get me wrong, but you will never have to lower the AC on a hot day. In fact, you will have it maxed out and still not feel...
Absolutely, looked at Valved Exhaust. I am gonna write up a thread with my experiences, having started with MBRP, then moved onto B2Fab and now Valved Exhaust. I couldn't be happier. Dead silent (more quiet than stock) with the valve closed, and when open, it's incredibly loud. I love it.
I replaced my muffler recently and I noticed on start up that there is a leak (visually could see water dripping and you could hear the leak under the truck) at what I can assume is a donut gasket and possibly further up, at the flange coming off of the right manifold. In the picture attached...
So I ordered a vacuum actuated bypass for my Rebel as I find my current set up so freaking loud in the morning. Granted, I love how loud it is but it always wakes up the family and Im sure the neighbors hate me. I often get up early for fishing or hunting so it's getting old quick.
Anyway, this...
I have been patiently waiting to buy a brand new TRX and after constantly watching, it appears now (not sure when this changed....) one can go online and build a TRX. When i did, it also applied a $13,000 or so DISCOUNT.
I guess my question is, has anyone actually ordered one to spec and got...
Fair enough but I don't let those f***ers touch my truck. Last time they did, they chipped the black coating on my lug nuts and torqued the f*** out of 2 nuts and ballooned them. Complete morons.
Did it this morning, not too bad. The bolts holding the caliper are quite tight which was surprising. And I needed to remove the tires to get to the top bolts. Will see tomorrow morning how well it worked.
I'm doing mine finally this weekend and just had a question about removing the caliper bracket bolts. Do I need to do anything with the e brake? The instructions don't mention anything but just curious what others did.
