More info in this thread: Base 6 speaker upgrade options?
I haven't done it yet. Debating whether I want to do it myself, or pay to have it done. PAC makes connectors to add amps or just subs. PAC – Connecting cars and technology. Your total installation solution.
I've had Jeeps for over 10 years, more of a Jeep thing. Never seen it catch on with any other vehicle. Even with Jeeps, many won't wave back. Pretty much only expect a wave if you are driving a modded Jeep and the other guy is also driving a modded Jeep. Wave to a bone stock Jeep and they are...
Subscribing, nice work! Started searching threads to see if I want to tackle installing an amp myself. Looking for simple ideas I might be able to re-produce. This would be the exact opposite of what I have in mind haha. There doesn't appear to be any duct tape in your setup.
I didn't know you could add an amp without having to run new wires to all the speakers. Which device would let me add an amp and a sub later? I'd probably do the amp first and then a sub later since it looks like an amp is much more affordable.
I felt like there wasn't as much bass without the ANC bypass. I finished installing the rear speakers yesterday, sounds great (for a system with no amp or sub). I'll have to try unplugging the ANC bypass and see if I hear a difference.
I'm definitely wanting an amp now and probably a sub, but...
I always roll my eyes when I hear 'premium audio' which usually means a higher quantity of speakers and a crappy small sub, but not really much better sound. The one exception I can think of is my wife has a Ford Expedtion with a B&O premium audio system which actually sounds pretty good for...
Just keep in mind it's really not worth paying more for a truck just because of the audio system. I bought my '23 3 months ago and was looking at other '23's that many dealers had good prices on. I ended up having a choice between one that had the 9 speaker Alpine system and the one I bought...
First world problems lol...
I bought my 2023 new about 3 months ago and did consider the Tundra. Main issue for me was the look of the front end. I was ok with the look of the rest. I literally spent some time looking at Tundra's near me by holding up my hand to block off the front end about...
Found an aftermarket one on Amazon for $16, but reviews are not the best.

I bought the PAC ANC-CH01. Not really having issues, but figured I'd get it in case there are problems when I install the rear speakers. Looks like an easy plug in.
I installed the 3.5" in the dash yesterday morning and did the front 6X9 this morning. Stopped because it was getting hot and my hands were cramping up a bit from prying the door panels off. Not too difficult, just tedious and a learning curve to get the door handle wire out and get the door...
Haven't heard of that issue. Sounds like an electrical problem and should be covered under warranty. I would take it to the dealer. If it's that easy to reproduce, hopefully easy to fix.
I like the small size of that one, be able to fit it anywhere. Looks like the AI DSP would be good for someone like me that doesn't have any experience with tuning.
Definitely up to you. I just figure if you're going to do subs, they should be in a box under the rear seat. Though with up to a 3.5" in the dash, you could do components all up front and maybe small 8" subs in the rear doors.
Since the 6X9's are good for mid bass, I might do a single 10" or...
This is the gauge I've been using for 10+ years. I like the built in flashlight in case I'm using it at night. I use it on my Jeep and also like the air bleed valve to even out the tires.
Bottom line: You should be able to get the same reading on two different gauges.
