Correct. The tailgate does not function at all. Lock/unlock does not work and the buttons to drop it or open it barn style are not working. The dealer somehow was able to manually open it and got to the module to diagnose and confirm it. They did a “fix” to stop the light from being on while we...
Looking for a little assistance as to if there’s a fuse to disable the LED light built into the tailgate handle. Long story short, my tailgate module is bad and I have no access to the tailgate and the light is staying on constantly. The dealer was able to diagnose it and manually get the gate...
What size? An 18" will ride much different than a 22". Do you have air suspension? That also plays a big role.
I put a set of M/S 2's on my GT back in March and had a hard time getting them balanced correctly. After a couple of serious road force balances, Discount finally got it sorted out...
Likewise! Many a 4 hour trip in my aunt and uncles Mercury Sable wagon to the beach. We dubbed it the "way back" which is a term that's stuck in our family ever since.
The one we rode in did, and they faced backwards. Almost like jump seats on an airplane, but still had seatbelts so it was...
I know you've updated the phone, but have you tried unpairing it completely and repairing it? I've had to do that a couple of times to clear up connectivity issues with carplay.
In my case, I ended up having one more re-balance done since my previous post as the vibrations weren't quite gone like I thought. This time I went to a brand new Discount in town with all brand new equipment, and those guys were able to get it sorted out. It came down to measuring the high...
If it’s everything you want and the price is right, go for it. Given how clean and quiet it is I probably wouldn’t bother with having a mechanic look at it. Besides, depending on the original in service date, a 2022 with 26K on it still has another up to 1 year/10k left on the bumper to bumper...
Delete your phone from the truck, delete your truck from your phone, then re-pair everything. Mine's done this a couple of times at random and that usually does the trick. It could be that either the truck or the phone did an update and just needs a new connection to get back on track.
Given that electronics were shutting down and the truck starting to enter some kind of limp mode, that points back to a charging system fault. Unless there's something special i'm missing about how the etorque system functions compared to a standard 12V alternator, but I don't think I am.
It...
He was. He updated the video in the description and in the comments a few days ago to say Ram reached out to him and confirmed it was pre-production. They also apparently took the truck back to re-evaluate the issues based on his review.
Some of what you're also noticing between the F150 and the Ram is the Ford's all aluminum body.
2.7 and 5.0 are great powertrains in the Ford line up. The 3.5, not so much. What brings a lot of F150's into the shop these days is the 10 speed.
I came from a 3.5 10-speed and had every single...
Interesting. I'm not sure if the battery voltage reading we can see in the menu is measuring voltage of/in the battery, or voltage of the entire charging system going into the battery. My assumption would be the later in which case I would have expected it to read what you're seeing now once...
Hmmm, I'd be (and am) a little suspicious of that diagnosis given the information we have.
What's it reading as you drive now that they charged the battery?
PPF first, then ceramic coating ontop if you wish. Ceramic is more for protecting against day to day dirt and grime and holds up better than traditional wax. It does not offer protection against rock chips like PPF does. PPF is a physical clear film that goes on the paint.
This. Do everything up front that's painted. I did the bumper, hood, trim below the headlights, the headlights themselves, the backs of the mirrors, and the front quarter panels. My only regret is not doing a strip on the roof between the windshield and the sunroof. Noticed a couple of chips...
I'm the minority that don't recommend the Bosch Icons. Many years ago, they were my go to as they were the only blade that didn't chatter on my F150. A couple years ago, something changed, and I started having chattering issues on both my F150 and my wifes JGC. When I got the Ram, I decided...
Update on mine: road force balancing did the trick. The particular Discount I go to has the ability to do it in situations like this, so now I know to ask for it going forward on these tires.
I got mine from Discount with certificates. I've bought a lot of tires from this location over the years and they've been good to me service wise, so i'm not too concerned at the moment. More curious what they want to do as the next step as i've never been down this road before.
My other...
I'm going through this right now on a set of Michelin LTX's I had put on this weekend. Noticed an immediate vibration at 45mph and up, and around 45 I can see the shimmy in the steering wheel, none of which was present with my factory Goodyears. Brought it back on Tuesday for a rebalance with...
