Did a pavement test and full out on the clickers feels like factory for bump absorption and body movement. I set both to 3 (which is recommended settings from fox) and it feels nice and smooth still with less body roll. Overall just better all around. With high speed at 3 and low speed at 6 it...
I gained exactly 1” with the height set how they came. The said 1” of lift height for an off road package so I left it at that. So 24” from center of wheel to fender. I guess a $3000 leveling kit? Ha. I have the ADD front bumper plus a Warn VR-10s weighting things down also.
I am going to...
Ended up with a few hours of free time this morning so I decided to install the suspension. The kit was higher quality than I initially gave it credit for with some nice machined parts, and locations to hold ABS wires. Took 2:45 minutes to do both the front and rear.
The only real challenge is...
Wasnt a fan of how large the branding on the RSI is so took a few minutes to peel off the logos. Rather than just doing the logo as a cutout sticker they wrap the panel with black wrap and have to logo printed on it. It is a nice extra protection to the paint, but made for a lot of peeling and...
Havent had time to do the suspension install yet, but did pick up a used RSI Smartcap! Loving the look and impressed with the quality. The platform rack came with the sale, but it felt a little too "overland" for my taste so I was able to convert it into two crossbars. Pretty cool design.
Yea it is a switch on the dash.
I have the transmission skid from Delthoff on my truck and it has good coverage and seems very good quality. https://dethloffmfg.com/products/armor/
Plastic does seem weird but it is probably better for impact than a thin aluminum one in reality
I have an off-rod package and the suspension is super soft, so I wouldn’t worry about it being too stiff.
It is also 1” higher (so I’d think slightly worse fuel economy) and has the rear locker like you mentioned. I regularly use the locker exploring around, but if you don’t feel you need one...
I am not sure who makes the UCAs. They have a part number on them that I cant find any extra info, but they do have a Moog ball joint. The Fabtech ones actually look a bit nicer with some extra gussets. If you ever need any measurements Id be happy to help.
I am new to the forum so please take my opinion as nothing more than someones opinion, but here are my thoughts. I come from the Jeep world where I had a JKUR with 37's and lots of goodies and did a fair amount of rock crawling and general off-roading. I also have an ORP truck and not a Rebel...
Finally got a chance to install my winch onto the truck. Addictive Desert Designs only has one winch they recommend to use, and I really didn't want the one they recommended. I have always had great luck with Warn (ran an M series on the Jeep and used it a ton), so I wanted to stick with them...
For the bed plug I used another of the Dometic Hardwiring kits, but rather then go direct to the battery I added a relay and used a fuse tap of the ECM fuse so that it again only had power when the truck was running.
These are out of order, but i had previously installed a BedRug Impact Liner...
I am a User Interface Designer for work and the factory RAM knob bugged me with how similar it was to the volume knobs. I added an AJT Design knob to change it up.
I also wanted to hook up the light bar and some other accessories so I got a Trigger4+ to handle the switching needs. I like the...
Hi all. Wanted to document my build and become a part of this forum too!
I previously had a built Jeep and just used a JeepSleep when camping, but with our family growing I decided to change it up and do more mellow camping trips rather than so much rock crawling. I decided a 2020 RAM 1500...
