My 2015 had the 32 gallon tank, but like most, never was programmed for it. Therefore when my truck thought that it was near the end of the standard 26 gallon, it would say that I was low on fuel. It was actually nice because it meant that I really had a six gallon reserve tank. I would just do...
Years back my boss sold me his old Honda Pilot. He only used it when he was in town, so it often sat for 6mo to a year without being driven. Those rotors would make all kinds of noise for years until I finally had them turned. Modern cars don't like to sit very long.
Your truck is new, so this doesn't address the issue, but I remember a mechanic once told me to engage my 4x4 occasionally throughout the year. Of course, this was back in the day when you had to walk around and manually engage the hubs! However, his point was valid. Use it or lose it.
That's...
If it is hot outside, I have the A/C on, and I stop at a red light the auto-stop will only engage if the cab is at the set temperature. Otherwise the truck will continue to run. If auto-stop has engaged but the cab temperature climbs above the threashold, I have seen my engine restart so that...
My map of the north woods stays under a pile of stuff under the rear seat. I haven't looked at it in 15yrs.
In my map holding bin, I keep a one of those pocket-sized spiral notebooks. It's perfect for making a quick note when needed - a grocery list, writing down a license plate #, taking notes...
You and I are in the same boat.... Yes, I just pulled my boat out of a eurasion milfoil-infested lake with steep ramps last week. I had to throw it into 4Low. However, you're missing the point of my post above. Not everyone tows a boat or drives in adverse conditions. Those people don't need 4x4...
The OP's post was unnecessary, shaming people for buying the truck that suits their need. Like the OP, I live in Minnesota and actually need 4x4 for the places that I go. However, if I lived somewhere that rarely got snow, there is no way that I would get 4x4. It drags down your fuel economy, is...
I'm on my second RAM. I bought it from a dealership 10 miles away because they have a big inventory, but I get it serviced at the one 2 miles away. Great service every time, better than when I used to go where I bought them from.
We bought my wife an Audi A5 last year. I have to admit to being...
I grew up in the 70s, cruising down the roads in the back of my dad's conversion van with his CB set to channel 19. Every movie like Convoy, Smokey In The Bandit, or something else with CB talk was awesome.
I had one in my '85 F150 in the early 2000s but by then it was becoming obsolete in my...
It's good to learn about how the sausage is made, but the reality is that a good sales person / dealer should recognize when they are near the MY change and alert customers that are placing orders. I bet that this thread wouldn't have even been started had that dealer said, "Just so you know, we...
On my 2015, I kept getting a misfire code for cylinder #5. This started around 85k miles, not long after I started getting the Hemi tick around 65k miles. My trusted local mechanic replaced the plug and the coil/wires twice. After the second time, he dug in further and confirmed that I was...
Strong opinion for someone who hasn't had them on a truck. A better statement would be that stock tires are junk.
I really liked my Falken WIldpeaks on both my 2015 and 2021 RAM trucks. My brother-in-law sells tires for a living and convinced me to give the Goodyear UltraTerrains a try. I put...
This is classic bait-and-switch, whether intentional or not. The purchase agreement was between you and the dealer, not you and the manufacturer. This is an issue for the dealer and manufacturer to resolve. If they don't, follow everyone else's advice and get a quote from Mark Dodge.
From what I've heard, it depends. It sounds like most pumps mix the two octanes but I've talked to a few stations where they said that they had a separate tank for the mid-grade. I don't know if that's true but just what I was told.
