Any ideas on what this aftermarket switch could’ve been for?

Bought a used 19 and it has this switched screwed into the panel bellow the e brake. Any ideas? Of courses I’ve pressed the heck out of it and even held it, It doesn’t do anything. Also why not just used double sided tape or actually hide it if it was something to do with security.

Yep karr alarm system, its a pay service. So its probably not active
