Never could think of the reason behind this (3-beep when leaving truck running and key fob in pocket)? Maybe I'm missing the point.
If the truck is running and the fob is in my pocket...why honk at all? I mean seriously what's the reason...can't be stolen if the fob is in my pocket. Can't...
Built a structure that allows me to put the topper on and take it off by myself. Back into rack, jump into bed of truck, stand up with topper, walk to tailgate and set it on the plywood platform. Off now until hunting season next fall!
Anyone else have a ton of little chips out of their front black bumper? Every time I wash my truck it just kills me to see them all. No, I don't tailgate people either! I also have a big scrape in the black rear bumper...that one is my fault :)
A little dirty on a Western muley hunt this week. Then home and cleaned up yesterday. Picked up a white topper from a 2020 for $500. Planned to use it just for hunting trips and such. Now kinda liking it on and may leave it on for winter.
Thanks guys. I got it off and attached the standard third brake light I bought today. Made sure everything was clean and sealed good. The new one works as it should and no warning lights on dash.
The used topper I picked up today (Ranch Sierra Xtra) slid up closer to the cab and everything...
Not sure this is going to work. The third brake light with the camera on my truck has two screws not four like the standard 3rd brake light. When I try to remove, it really doesn't want to come out. Like it's loose but stuck...and I don't want to damage anything by pulling too hard. Nothing is...
Looks like 68298380 AH replaced part # 68298380 AG on Oct 3 of this year. Nobody has the AH in stock but a couple have the AG. Guessing that is still fine.
Thank you. I was hoping to just swap out with part # 68298380AH when I use my topper....then, when I use my Bakflip, put the LED / Camera brake light back on. I just need the extra inch to push the topper closer to cab.
Hello. I currently have a 2022 Ram 1500 with the technology package. I recently picked up a used topper from a 2021 Ram but because the technology package third brake light sticks out too far, the topper won't slide far enough forward. Is it possible to replace the technology package third brake...

Well, here's my report back on the Grabber ATX in standard load. I had them installed (look great) and drove home from Discount Tire. It was a 60 mile drive one way so had some time on different roads and speeds. Noise level (hum) is more than the Coopers I had on the truck but not bad...
Yeah, some I like and others I don't (I don't like the look of the one I bought). For me it was about function when going on week long hunts. I already put my Bakflip back on last night when I got home. Your pic on the other hand...that actually looks pretty sweet IMO.
Drove by a Chevy dealer at lunch today and saw a 2019 Ram with topper in their used lot. I was looking for a used topper for hunting trips but not something I want to leave on full time. Swung in to see if they would sell me the topper. They said sure, $300 bucks. Paid them and they threw it...
Having the 275 70 18 SL Grabber ATX put on tomorrow at Discount Tire. They arrived and actually have white letter or black sidewall as an option.... everything I found on line was black wall only in that tire / size. Looks like I have a decision to make before 3 pm tomorrow.
Interesting. Yeah, looks like Tire Rack has some. Discount Tire (who owns Tire Rack) told me the SL model is being discontinued. Maybe the guy didn't know what he was talking about...which may be the case.
When I got my 2022 Backcountry I wanted to go up in tire size...just to 33". Since the truck came with 18" wheels, there really wasn't too many 33" tire options, without going LT. I don't haul heavy loads but do some logging road travel throughout the fall so I really didn't want/need the...
