RamBox Dividers - a better option!

Made my own back in 2019 and did OK but have worn quite a bit and not as nice as these from Capt. Decided to treat myself and ordered the full set. I'm sure I'll be pleased.

    Another rust prevention question FF/Krown

I have done Fluid Film and Woolwax black. I typically do every Fall. I like Woolwax a bit better and the black lets you know where you have missed. Just did mine yesterday actually again. So far, so good. Everything looks really, really good underneath from a rust perspective and I'm in...

Transmission falling out of Drive on downshift, blinking, displaying "shift to P" and back

I had a thread I started in Feb 21 where this happened to me one time, after extreme cold weather had drained my battery the day prior and recharged. The dealer tested the battery with the full test and it was bad. The answer I got was if there is a battery issue this can occur, which I said...

    Alternatives to Revolver X4?

Hey @StuartV How well does the X4s keep the water out of the bed? My bakflip still leaked on sides and by tailgate. Now that hail ruined it, I'm considering the X4s instead when replacing

    Hail damage

I have Auto Owners Insurance. They are coming out tomorrow to take a look. Already filed claims on both truck and house. First ones in my life, but these are no brainers based on damage to each. AOI said they don't require me to go to a certain place for the truck, so its my option.

    Hail damage

Glad to hear this turned out well for you. Makes me feel a little better there's hope.

    Hail damage

Iowa. It was a freak narrow band that went through West Des Moines.

    Hail damage

Yeah I'm Iowa as well. Owe about 18K still and I planned on driving this for a long time. Guess nothing to do but wait for adjuster to look at it and go from there.

    Hail damage

Never seen anything like it. 15 minutes straight.

    Hail damage

Freak hail storm came through on Friday and nailed my truck. Hood and roof (no sunroof) are riddled. Lots of other dents as well. Bak flip cover dented to crap. Claim filed and I'm waiting for adjuster. Anyone go through this? Wondering what to expect for damage total. Surely won't...

Oil change interesting (bad) info from dealer

Yes, I have long ago gone through all the bobistheoilguy forums and dove into that. I'm not interested in rehashing all the best oil, how long you actually can run the same oil, or filters conversation here. Just what is actually required to keep warranty. Manual is clear and the service...

shift to p then desired gear

Not sure why I never got a notification on this quote reply. Sorry! No, I have not had the issue since the new battery. Seems crazy to me still, but running like Pittsburgh ever since.

Oil change interesting (bad) info from dealer

Had oil changed today at dealer (20% left on monitor). Very nice lady helped me but as I was about to drive away she gave some interesting (and I think flawed) information. -She said the oil monitor is straight time based and we cannot rely on it at all The manual says: Oil Life Reset Your...

    A/T tires

Completely agree and understand. I spend about 99% of my time on highway so I said screw it, I don't want to deal with dumb people in the future. And I'd likely be an idiot and forget to revert to stock if I changed it myself, and then have myself to blame for being the dumb person ;)

    A/T tires

So I ended up swapping the Dynapro II for the Michelin Defender LTX (not an AT) after the dealer warned that going from 285 to 305 tires could affect warranty in the future. I think he's wrong, but don't have the patience to **** with them in the future on it. Discount Tire remains awesome...

    What octane gas?

87 or 89 Gas which do you use?

I cannot find a station around here that offers 89 without ethanol, so I do 20 gallons (fuel saver limit with hy-vee card discount) of 91 no eth and then 8 gallons of 87 no eth. And I have to still bookmark the stations here in Iowa that I can find no ethanol options.
