You can check to see if your VIN is included in the warranty extension by logging in to your account at ramtrucks.com. It will potentially save you a trip to the dealership. Also, that TSB was superseded by TSB 23-098-24. Basically, they won't replace the rear window anymore. They apply a 2...
I'm not sure it really matters. Blocking flow to the heater core is the goal, and if you close one side there can be no flow through the heater core. But I found this in a quick interweb search...
That's certainly a consideration. I would also add the amount of oil in the cooling system and how long it sits without running is just as important in your formula. Remember that hot coolant circulates through the system when he engine is running. So the oil could be constantly washed off...
In my opinion I wouldn't replace the hoses unless they're leaking or damaged. Dealership wants your money. I'm not sure I'd even bother degreasing them. Do a cooling system flush, then refill with coolant and move on.
We're talking about possible oil in the coolant not combustion gasses. That would be a different type of head gasket failure. Head gaskets can fail in several ways. My point was that if there is a break between a coolant passage and an oil passage, there should be cross contamination...
If it was simple math, 5% of 10,000 miles would be 500 miles. From what I've seen, if you don't use your truck for towing or drive in extreme conditions the oil life monitor pretty closely tracks with mileage. Even if you wanted to stretch your OCI to the max on the oil change monitor, the...
I can't speak for you but I post things that I think will be helpful. Sorry if you thought I was reprimanding you but that wasn't my intention. If I see something I feel is in error I speak up. I expect others to do the same when I post something in error, which happens as well. No need to...
Why the hate dude? You were the only one who was confused. Discussion in threads can sometimes drift off topic, which happened in this one. There’s no need to get snarky about it.
Guess you missed 1791’s post then (post #29). Like I suggested, if you’d bother to read the entire thread you wouldn’t be confused. Of course the original post was about 2025 models. AFAIK that’s the only year the power up feature has been available so far.
The original question was about the MFT not the traditional tailgate. Pretty sure everyone knows you can get the power up feature with the traditional tailgate. There’s no confusion. The question was whether you could get the power up feature with the MFT.
On Laramie's it's part of an option package and not standard. On your example it's part of the Laramie Level 1 Equipment Group. You also got it in the Laramie Level 2 Equipment Group.
Since this thread has strayed off topic lets call this what it is. First, all 5th gens have power release tailgates. They require an actuator to release the tailgate. What we are actually talking about is trucks that have remote tailgate release. A button inside the cab and on the fob which...
^^This. There is no incentive for a car company to invest in giving customers the ability to add features like this. It's a sad truth that they're in the business to make money, not to delight customers.
