This is a 305/55/20 with a +1 wheel and a 2” level. About an inch of poke with this set up.
Let me know if you go with the 315/60/20 recon's. I'm debating putting them on next spring and running them during the spring / summer months.
I put 285/55/22 Toyo AT3 on my limited and they fit without any modification to the suspension. There is no rubbing at any height but some say they have rubbing with this size. Toyo is about 34.3 in diameter and the ridge looks to be about 34.6 so slightly taller. If you want to ensure...
Nice additions to the Limited! I put on the 285/55/22's as well and been debating a leveling kit as well. After install did it leave you a bit higher in the front or did you keep a bit of rake? Also, any changes in ride after installing the kit that you've noticed? I'm happy with the...
Thanks for all the feedback. Not sure if it’s worth messing with or not since they are riding good. However since they are new I figured it might be best to bring in now vs down the road.
I recently had the Toyo AT3 285/55/22's installed and started getting vibration on the highway after a couple weeks. Took it back into discount tire to have them road force balanced and found that 3 of the 4 tires were out of balance and calling for more weight. Three of them now have about 3...
I went back and forth on this same decision for a couple months before finally pulling the trigger on the 285’s. Having never ran a E rated tire before I had the same concerns but I just felt they fit the truck well. Fortunately, discount tire will let you return / exchange within 30 days of...
Agreed with above, should have no issue with the height at least on a 35/12.50/20. Width may cause a bit of rubbing but shouldn’t be too much. I fit 285/55/22 with no level on my limited and no rubbing which would be similar to a 285/65/20. They are 11.7 wide though vs 12.5.
Having tried the Rough Country brackets and now the leveling kit, would you say the ride is different at all from factory with the ready lift leveling kit? Thinking I may end up going that route as the 1.5 level will hopefully keep a bit of rake and factory ride quality.
Finally pulled the trigger on a set of 285/55/22 Toyo AT3’s. They fit great with no modifications. Ride quality even with the E load is still great. Time will tell but very happy with them so far. Thanks to everyone for the feedback and helping to pin down this size!
TY, thanks for the detailed review and glad to hear you are liking them. I've heard a ton of positive reviews from a noise standpoint considering how aggressive they are. The rougher riding part is what concerns me as these trucks drive so smooth from factory. How noticeable would you say...
Cliff, thanks for the detailed review. Gives the truck a whole new look and it's nice to hear the noise isn't over the top and the ride is still smooth. I've been contemplating the 285/55/22s for awhile now and have been having a hard time pulling the trigger because I've been so happy with...
I had a 2020 Laramie with coil suspension and recently bought a 2023 Limited with air. The air drives much smoother specifically over broken pavement, rough roads, etc. I debated getting the air for awhile being also in a cold climate but so far am very happy with it.
Finally arrived at the dealership and took delivery! Tinted the front two windows 20 % which look to be a close match to the rear. the wait from order to delivery was just a little over 2 months and couldn’t be happier.
What are your thoughts on this set up after putting on some miles? Did you end up taking off the level and going to stock size? I'm still debating doing this to my limited when it comes in but a little concerned about stiffening up the ride too much, etc.
Those look great and fit the truck well. Do you notice a difference in overall ride quality with the d load? Thinking this may be a good compromise coming from a SL but not quite as harsh as an E load. Noticed the Falkens have that sweet spot.
