So I pulled the trigger on the 2021 Longhorn. It came down from 76k to 60,500 and the dealer refused the Ram 1500 cash because they said it couldn't be applied to an employee pricing deal. That doesn't sound right and I'm going to look into it further.
Other than that, I am loving the new...
I just picked up my new truck yesterday, love everything about it. Except the deployable bed step next to the trailer hitch will not move. I have stepped and bounced and pushed and pulled and even gave it a kick...and it just sits there, tucked under and mocking me. What's the secret...
Mike_WI, I've got a brand new, still in the box that I never opened, deployable bed step that I won't need to install since I'm trading up t a new RAM that already has one installed. If you want it for $200, it's yours. I'm in WI too.
Been looking at trading my '19 Longhorn for a '21. So far, the prices from dealers have varied wildly. The "winner" so far is one state over and is quoting me a price of $61,400, MSRP is 76k. I've asked twice to be sure this is strictly their sales price before any incentives/rebates and have...
Same here. Nav is off buy about 35-40 miles, and the compass is off by 90 degrees. Other features work sometimes and not others. They've ordered a new radio...two weeks ago. So now I wait.
I'm dealing with a similar issue. The compass is 180 off...says north when i'm going south. And the nav screen location is off by about 20 miles most of the time, no matter where I am, it insists I'm elsewhere. Anybody else?
I've seen the threads about the odometer rolling forward. Mine did the opposite. I just had it in for its second oil change, and when I dropped it off, the odometer read 9877. When I got it back, the odometer said 9275. It has been counting the miles since then as usual, and now I'm almost...
When I was truck shopping, I really didn't care at all about the pano sunroof. I had decided it was at the bottom of my "must haves" list. When I found the truck I ended up buying, it had the sunroof. I use it all the time and am so glad I ended up with it. The light, the air, the look....it...
I'm averaging 17.8 mpg just daily driving, which is 80% country roads and 20% in town. Yesterday I did the first real road trip with the truck. Zeroed out the mpg at the beginning. The trip was 420 miles. 165 miles was interstate and the rest was county highways and back roads, with maybe 25...
I just towed this excavator, combined weight of the excavator and trailer is right around 10,000#, with my Longhorn. It pulled like there was no trailer behind it at all, except for a drop in mpg, which is to be expected. Of course, I was also careful to load the excavator to balance the weight.
Maiden voyage towing a 10,000# rig. Towed like there wasn't even a trailer back there, much less an excavator sitting on it. Fuel economy bites, but hey...towing...expected. Without the trailer and with the adaptive cruise and drafting, I got 23 mpg. With the trailer, 11 mpg. Loving this truck!
The Auto Armor "ceramic" that the dealerships use is supposedly warrantied, but it's not the real deal and there is a lot of fine print, plus they find all sorts of ways to weasel out of claims. I watched an online video of application, and it's done with a spray on foam which is rubbed around...
I feel your pain. Mine arrived at the dealership, and was immediately held because of the brake pedal recall. They said they had no parts. Some searching (including good info from this forum) led me to discover that the parts were being rationed and dealers were using them on the unsold trucks...
I also can't close mine with the tailgate up, can't get enough down pressure on it, but I'm vertically challenged (read short ;) ) . But mine does extend to the back and is tight to the tailgate and it's not leaking, at least so far.
Save your money. It gets poor reviews and isn't lke having real ceramic coating done by a detail shop, plus they try very hard to weasel their way out of paying claims. It's pretty much just a huge money maker with a huge upcharge for the dealership. Ceramic isn't done by washing with some...
