I haven’t had the humming. It isn’t feedback from another device you have, like a phone, is it? I have an average of 18.1 mpg on mine, just over 1080 miles so far on it.

I also would like to know if someone looks into this. I get a whistle from my standard folding mirrors. At least it sounds like it is from there. When the truck is so quiet (with MDS off especially) you can hear all these noises you might not have normally heard. A whistle is different from...

Mine is exactly the same. So many people say they can't tell. My has some vibration when active and makes that sound you describe when the MDS kicks off.

My uconnect app on my Apple iPhone 7s shows this info, all current. My uconnect app on my android does not show all this information.

Do the weathertechs fit tightly? I would like them but not sure if they trap water and salt. Without them I wonder if rocks will eventually scratch the side of my truck.

Just had mine sprayed. I had my dealer do the work, they spray Vortex brand. Don't know if that brand is any good or not, but it looks nice and they stick by it. A few hundred more than the drop-ins though.

This same issue happened to me today, after picking up the truck from getting a Bedliner sprayed in it. I drove it about a mile then shut it off and restarted. The sound went away. Almost sounded like I had a hole in the muffler. Mine was built 6/18. I didn’t notice any issues with the radio...

Mine comes on quite a bit and I have less than 600 miles on it. But to be fair I’ve driven it like a grandpa so far, well mostly. :)

I wonder is the constant starting of the engine causes more wear on the engine than it is worth. Mind you I know nothing of engines, but it seems like it would be hard on them.

Have you tried other USB ports? Doesn’t sound like it would be software in the Uconnect. If it were a driver type issue it probably wouldn’t connect at all. Maybe the port was attached to the board poorly and vibration broke a small fracture in the connection.
