My left tail light quit working. Bulb and connections were good. Took it to a shop and found out the BCM needed to be reset; now it works. Makes me wonder what else will fail because of computer glitches.
I'd get out of that deal ASAP. Almost three years and Stellantis won't stand by their warranty and fix my radio. Check into the head gasket leaks the new engines have and their other issues on this site as well as Youtube.
We have a 2018 2500 with the 6.4 and 3.73 gears and have made a couple trips to Alaska with it as well as other shorter trips without any issues pulling our trailer that ways around 10,000 lbs and carrying two 7 cubic foot freezers full of fish on the return trip. It's usually just about maxed...
No resolution on mine. The dealership told me last fall that an upgrade would be coming out the first quarter of 23 to resolve the issues. Stellantis not only fails to honor their warranty but they don't know the calendar as well. I recommend you check the other manufacturers to see if they are...
I have owned a 22 Big Horn for the past 13 months. The radios have NEVER worked properly. First one was replaced but the second is worse. Even though the truck is under full warranty the stealerships will not repair/replace it. I'd recommend you don't purchase a Ram unless they give you an...
I wanted the off road package when we ordered our 22 but you couldn't get that with a V-6. We have an 18 3/4 ton with the 6.4 to do our heavy work. Couldn't be happier with our V-6 in the 1/2 ton; it does everything I need it to and we get 24-25 mpg on the hwy with the warmer weather driving. If...
Today is the one year anniversary of Stellantis not honoring their warranty on our defective radio. Got an email from them about 20% off their promotional merchandise with free shipping yet they do not fix what is covered by warranty. Great job of deception, Stellantis. You SUCK!
I can't answer that question for you; we don't use the nav in ours hardly ever, the wife is a great copilot. I don't know what the updates were for. RamCares was gong to reimburse me for some of the cost of the updates but I've far too much on this radio that is designed to line the pockets of...
The radio in our 2018 Laramie, 8.4 with nav, started going bonkers around a month ago. Ramcares told me to take it in for a diagnostic. The stealership charged me almost $200 for that and told me it was several updates behind which would run me about 200 a pop. I called UConnect and was told...
There are many threads about it on numerous Ram forums. UConnect is a very BAD thing; higher percentage to find an honorable politician than a working radio. Ram will not honor their warranty on that POS item either.
I have been to both dealerships in our area. The first dealership is where we ordered it and all they want to do is reflash it but that doesn't help. The second dealership is where we bought the 18 and is the one that replaced the radio. My salesman at the first dealership told me he has a...
Due to lack of ground clearance and poor 4 wheel drive ability, we traded our 2021 Pilot in on a 2022 Ram Bighorn with the V-6. We get almost the same mpg as the Pilot but the truck is far more comfortable and quiet than the Pilot was. Now for the negative aspect: The UConnect radio in the Ram...
That I did and was told that the Connect 4 will not interface with my truck and there were none available. I have been told many things by the dealerships that I know are incorrect. Truth is another thing you can't get at the dealerships.
Here I was hoping the something big would be Ram honoring their warranty and replacing their faulty radios. Still don't understand how a manufacturer can get away with the crap Ram does. The reason we purchased our 2022 was because our 2018 3/4 ton has been great with no issues. Two radios and a...
You are not a solo camper on this. We are on our second disfunctioning radio and have been blown off by the dealership with the excuse of Chrysler coming out with a software update that fixes all the issues. The problems are company wide with the Connect 5 systems. If I could get our truck to be...
After having spent over 12 hours at two dealerships, one radio replaced, and at least 1200 miles in transit to the dealerships; all to still have a faulty radio and one finger salute from Stellantis, I'd say you are 1005 correct. Yesterday, I was told by a technician that there will e a software...
After much looking around for the last 5 minutes I found:
"SYSTEM INFORMATION" then:
"VERSION INFORMATION" under that the following:
"Android Version 8.1.0
"Model FCA R1-Low"
"Kernel Version" with a whole bunch of gobble-****
"Build Number FCA_R1L_ARM64_00.145.00.15.00 release-keys"
Didn't see...
I have the 8.4" screen without Nav. After googling how to find the latest software version, I went to the UConnect website, entered my VIN number and found out I was up to date. None of the features added by UConnect 5 are of interest to me. I'd sure like to be able to get a UConnect 4 system...
