no issues with the fact your truck was a 12/18 build and was outside the date range? if so, good to know and where did you bring it as I also have to get it done still and am in the st. paul area.
volume at 28? wow! I like loud, but that is insane loud with the HK. I mean 22 is tops for me. I also believe the system drops frequencies at certain volumes to protect the speakers. I had the alpine in my previous Ram and now with the HK. I dont hear much difference in bass, but the...
first mistake, bringing it to Big O tires for an alignment. after 2 hours they give me the truck, the steering wheel is aimed right and she pulls to the right. bring it back the next day and tell them to fix it. after another 2 hours, the steering wheel is even further to the right, but she...
nope, I got all kinds of warranty left, at 28k on the odometer. I am warrantied till 100k, so I am good for a while! I am just waiting at this point to see if the drivers side cracks as well so I can get them both done in one shot.
I havent heard of any 5th gens breaking bolts yet. They put bolt plate supports on them now, It appears they are working. Problem now appears the manifold is the weak spot. I know the 2020 exhaust manifolds have different part numbers from the 2017, so I am not sure they are the same.
Not sure the ORG shocks perform the same as the Rebel Bilstein shocks. I am sure there are some advantages to the Bilsteins over the Hitachi's. I think the Bilstein shocks are definitely heavier duty as the piston rod is significantly larger.
Comes with Hitachi off road version shocks and the ORG springs which gives approx. a 1" lift. The shocks are the same brand as the standard suspension, with what my guess is different valving.
I am not arguing that whatsoever. But the fact is, they have to put limits on it regardless. Hindsight is an extended warranty would have cost probably less than $1000 when you bought the truck. I absolutely feel this is a manufacturing issue and FCA should step up to the plate, but like I...
They would if it was under warranty..lol. Tough break, I think there are going to be alot of people in your shoes soon. yeah, your rear window got busted by...a baseball or something?
What were you expecting to hear? I dont agree that its NOT a common problem, but they are not going to admit it to you. Have you checked on buying one yourself and having a glass shop install it? Seems thats what Ram does anyway. maybe cheaper...but I dont know.
So sure enough, I knew I had a bad exhaust leak from the sound. I was thinking busted bolts like my 4th gen had. But then started reading some cases about cracked manifolds. Slid my snake cam between heat shield and manifold and spotted the crack. For anyone gone through this lately, how...
