Both box manufacturers...KSPIV and MMB work great...and as I mentioned in earlier comments...the KSPIV is the only box I have experience with that will work with other Bluetooth hardware besides phones and music devices. Both box manufacturers have excellent tech support. If you are a little...
Yep...a common problem for those of us with the 12 inch screen. As I said earlier...the KSPIV and the MMB are the only boxes I'm personally aware of that will work correctly on the 12 inch Uconnect 5 screens.
I have both boxes...the MMB MAX and the KSPIV (I have the Android 11 version of this box and bought the newer Android 12 version...the new box is physically a little bigger...I haven't had much time to play with it...but it booted up correctly...no obvious issues...I ran a few of the...
The battery is a Walmart EverStart MAXX H6 730 CCA ($150 with a 3 yr warranty)...and I found the clamp at a NAPA auto parts store...Part #: NOE 7301648 ($4.30)
Member RAM Patriot...with his dual battery install gave me the incentive to do the same. I finished up my install today, but went a slightly different route...instead to trying to modify a RAM 2500 battery holder, I decided to use the bottom portion of the OEM air box. It is slightly smaller...
I have only found 2 that will currently work with the 12" Uconnect 5 screen...one is the MMB MAX and the other is the KSPIV...both are sold on Amazon...I worked with both companies over the last 6 months testing many software and firmware updates...the KSPIV people even sent me a free box to...
I have a 2022 RAM 1500 with a Uconnect 5, 12" screen...I have managed to activate AUX cameras 1 & 2...and have them working with after market cameras. The AUX cameras along with the OEM reverse camera have one thing in common when viewing on the Uconnect 5 screen...the video images will...
I have a 2022 RAM 1500 with a 12" Uconnect 5 Infotainment system. Is there a way to lock the screen so that someone can not make any unauthorized changes to settings...such as the truck being loaned to someone...or while the truck is being serviced?
If a series of AlfaOBD commands are entered...for example...the addition of the Performance/Off Road commands...there appears to be 3 parameter changes (sometimes 2 if the Off Road parameter is left off). If 3 parameter changes were made in a specific order...and if I wanted to remove all 3...
Hope the active members of this thread can help. I have a 2022 1500, got it with the 12" Uconnect 5 infotainment system...works great. Using AlfaOBD I added the Performance settings 24 hrs ago...the Performance and Off Road pages show up in my EVIC (the center instrument cluster), but can't...
Last night I read several threads about adding a 360 camera system using OEM parts and it sounded like a nightmare...and expensive too. Looking around online I found several nice after market systems but all had RCA (A/V) outputs and would require a radio/head/infotainment system that would...
I have a 2022 Lone Star...short bed...simple/plain type of tail gate...with only about 1300 miles on it. Occasionally the passenger side tail gate hinge spindle pops out of the socket/cup when lowering the tail gate. Is this a known or semi common problem? I'll be taking it to the dealer when...
Had a similar problems after adding some electronic gadgets...sometimes disconnecting the battery for about 15 mins works...also if you have a backup/reverse camera...put your truck in reverse if the backup image appears on the screen sometimes that will wake up the screen, (this what I've done...
The device made by KSPIV...sold on Amazon...has dual Bluetooth functionality...and it will pair up with a Bluetooth OBDII...works great with the app Torque.
