The depth of the front door speaker locations is just over 3.25". Having said that, there is plenty of room in front for 1/2" of shim or adapter - maybe even 3/4" if it is a low xmax speaker going in.
I put in 8's with a bit of butching out on the hole and 1/2" adapters...
Well, it was yesterday, I finished bolting everything in and back together on my stereo upgrade (5,000 watts). It was probably 60+ hours of work, happy to have it done!
Made a detailed post:

The thread is crowded and confusing - all the different systems require different solutions. The good news is, the non-alpine 6 speaker is the easiest to work with - all you need is a bare-bones line output converter or an amp with high level inputs as a minimum. And resistors if your LOC or AMP...
Recommend a digital multimeter, you will save yourself a lot of guesswork with both the power and the speaker connections, for $10-15 from your local big box store.
Additionally, you can double check fuses with one - on occasion a fuse can blow in a way that is not visually evident. Good luck!
Mine look good from a distance, but you can see a little wear on the edges. Kind of like me
21mm covers might be the ticket, another member had them:

I would recommend filing a federal vehicle safety complaint - failures like this one that could result in injury or death get more priority or attention.
I've reached out to both Mopar (who designed and created a kit for the SEMA Low Down Ram) and Billstein, and they both told me they have nothing in the works, which is bizarre. Personally I really want a 2/4 or a 3/5 drop and seems like a year should have been long enough for companies to bring...
I'm going to give the Dayton Audio DSP-408 a try in combination with a PAC wiring harness when I do a full install on mine - however I have the base 6 speaker system which I think is less complicated for this type of thing.
This happened to me the very first day with the Ram. Then, you step on the gas and BANG start going.
I disabled my auto parking brake and haven't looked back.
This is dead-on analysis. The other point that needs to be made that has had me cringing through much of this thread is the "hey, I'll replace this 8 ohm speaker with this 2 ohm one, it is so much louder". In this instance, dropping the ohm load for the front channel amp from 1.6 ohms to just...
At first I wanted a longer bed, so I took one to a Cub Foods parking lot for about 30 minutes... aside from struggling to get in and out of relatively wide parking places and aisles, the turning radius of over 50 feet was pretty shocking as the SUV I was driving was at 40. My short bed seems a...
I would think the best bet would be
1) Find the wiring that "wakes up" and carries 12v when Keyless Go senses you are near
2) Relay that power over to the door unlock wire
Of course, this is where someone reminds me that everything in this truck is controlled by computer, and it's an...
