Heard this noise the other day as well. I can feel it on the A pillar grab handle as well when it happens.

I just had the same noise happen on a windy day at 65~70. Not sure what is causing it yet, but it can be felt when I grab the A pillar.

I think they tell you not to use the hooks for liability issues. If you get the kit, you'll see why. I think it will be plenty sturdy however.

I ordered a Curt front hitch to carry my Ruckus scooter. I can mount it on the rear of course, but then I cant access the bed via tailgate.

Pretty ugly in my opinion, but the real difference is in the ride quality. The GMC/Chevy just aren't a close match in that area. Also the interiors look 10 years old.
