Ill get back to you on the axle brand/part. They are upgraded, thicker shafts, and bigger CV joints. They are designed for severe duty and lifted applications. My oems were in bad shape. They were cracked, rusted, and loose on the splines. Shop that did the work recommended that I do them...
New beefed up front axles, front bilstein 5100 on clip 6, bilstein 5100 rear shocks and rear dual rate bilstein lift springs, powerstop brake kits front and rear, ppe trans pan and service. RC upper control arms. It was not a cheap day!
If they took a week to register initially, the batteries were probably very weak. They should register in a few minutes / few miles. The batteries are likely too low now for the reset ecu to pickup.
You can change the IDs in the ecu with a tool like the autel with an OBD security bypass cable. I almost went this route but decided modifying the ecu is more risk/expensive than just getting the correct sensors that the ecu is factory programmed to use. The dealer would mist likely just tell...
This. I pull the drain plug and then go rebuild a dirtbike or take care of house projects while the ram drips the day away. I usually don't put the drain plug back in until the drips have stopped. I don’t run an uncle eds 15 minute quick lube. I run Dads OCD garage. $200/hr labor rate. 😁 to keep...
Yep. The shop is happy too because I'm acquiring the parts faster than they can get OEM parts. Everybody wins! Im also going to upgrade the rear springs to bilstein dual rate 1” lift springs to account for the extra weight. I have the 6’4” box and crew cab so Im already rolling heavy compared to...
No thats not it. The sensors will read down to low pressure. Maybe the wheels and tires came from canada or something? I bought some ram wheels from a limited that looked a little different than anything I've seen and despite having oem sensors they were all dead and didn't register. No tool...
I bought the autel ts508. I use the autel tpms sensors and program them with the tool and have 0 issues. I did have to pay the tire shop to break the bead and install them but at least got a rotation out of the deal.
I think this is exactly what happened. I was first stopped at a red light. Jeep GC stopped behind me. Teen in a silverado doing 50 went straight into the jeep and then the jeep went into me. Luckly I looked in my rearview and saw it coming and had a 3 second head start to put the hemi to the...
My truck was recently rear ended and Im rebuilding the rear to be much stronger. The factory bumper is tin foil and plastic, I can literally bend it with my bare hands. I went with the RC because its thicker steel than the others I looked at and 1 piece. The mounts themselves are 1/4” thick. Its...
You just need to drive it around and the truck will auto learn if they are the correct frequency and the have the correct ID range. I learned that Chrysler's are sensitive to the ID range as I put wrangler wheels on my grand cherokee and despite being the correct frequency the ID range was...
I have access to other vehicles in case of an emergency. I also do leave the hood open as a precaution when I drain overnight because that disables the remote start. I suppose if you were really worried about it you could disconnect a battery terminal too, which I also do once and awhile to...
Are you sure there are sensors in the wheels and not just regular valve stems? You need a tpms tool to check them if they are there, working, at what frequency they are working at. Any tire shop should be able to tell you.
I used loctite 542 hydraulic locker on my install too. Some of the fittings are flare and I used it on the face of the flare and on the threads of everything. So far no ill effects and 0 leaks.
Ive never tried this on a quad cab, I've always had the crew cab trucks. The quad cab does have shorter seats so there are differences. Can you post pics of the seat backs and the hooks on a quad cab? Ill try and help to point you in the right direction.
