I was told that these first runs get built and then they hold onto the vehicle for a little bit so they can verify that there aren’t any production issues. It’s easier to keep the truck for a month or so and fix any potential issues that pop up than to send it out and have to do a recall...
To the people trying to reach out to Ram for a date on their trucks, are you not able to reach your dealer and see if they will tell you the date? Anthony at Mark Dodge was able to tell me the estimated mfg date as soon as it was scheduled.
@Ramboy13 thank you for the lesson. I was watching a video somewhere and they were saying that the powertrain on the 25 Rams with the HO motor specifically have the same powertrain as the TRX. I believe it has a version of all wheel drive or something similar. if that is the case, would that...
After I had written my response I realized that the LSD I was talking about was Toyota’s “simulated LSD” where it uses the computer and brakes to control wheel spin. It was pretty much useless in off-roading conditions.
Why don’t you want an open differential for the majority of your driving...
The locking differential is something you turn off/on. If you have 4wd then, IMO, that will do what you need in place of a LSD when conditions are loose. Turning the locker on is more for lower speed crawling situations. You’d never want it turned on when on pavement unless it’s for street...
Those Limiteds in the reviews don’t have the MF tailgate or the limited level 1 packages. Those were the 2 packages that were restricted for a while when ordering. Those ordering restrictions have been lifted now.
One of my favorite jokes is when I’m speaking to my father about vehicles and he asks when the last time was my tranny was serviced and I always respond with “I don’t think you’re allowed to say that anymore.” He never gets the joke which makes it even better for me.
Still not PC. Can’t say tranny anymore.
Joking aside, people have been complaining about rough shifting. Don’t know how widespread it is but I’ve seen complaints.
GMC makes a real nice vehicle. Very well equipped. For me, it was down to the Denali and the Limited Ram. Admittedly, I got lucky that I wasn’t in the market for a new truck until about 3 weeks ago. I’d be pretty unhappy if it took 6 months from order until now and still not have a date. It was...
I'd reach out to @AnthonyRI on pricing. Looks like he has given some really good deals to pretty much everyone on here. I know he blew my current quote out of the water.
Dealership I ordered through is/was trying to tell me that the price will just be MSRP minus any incentives available from Ram at time of delivery. I didn't really get into it with them but seeing as people are special ordering trucks and still getting discounts, I'll need to revisit this with...
yeah, check engine lights aren't good but sometimes they are false alarms. Happens on occasion on my F150. Just put some more miles on it and see if it stays on or something loud starts coming from the engine. ;)
After some searching and stumbling, this is the best I can find. The old style would pivot up from a normal position to the “moose” position. New ones just telescope in/out. You can see it in this picture. If you look close, it is extended out (not sure how much farther it will go if at all).
I...
I’ve got a similar build coming. I know for a while that they had production issues or missing parts but that supposedly has been rectified now so hopefully the floodgates are opening.
