And my brother has a 2012 Wrangler that's had both heads replaced. One with less than 80k in miles, the other went a little north of 100k. Trans went out at 110k. He doesn't have a lot of money and is super handy so he just keeps fixing it. I managed to pull some strings for him for the heads...
Everyone always loves to play devil's advocate with that or something to the effect of: "It's only a small percentage of vehicles out of millions" or "People only come on here to complain." "You don't hear from the people happy about their vehicle." or "People are just hating."
There's a lot of...
First off, I hope OP gets this worked out...but...I am not hearing great things about these motors.
These points are from mostly Wagoneers, which have had the motors for a bit now, but I imagine its the same for Rams.
There are Redditors who work in dealers with pics of brand new Hurricane...
It did strike me as odd. It's a plastic tray and the battery doesn't seem like it would sit in water. Just didn't make me feel great it was down in there.
I ended just replacing the stock with an Interstate AGM top tier battery yesterday. The dealer offered to diagnose the old OEM battery but I declined because the end result would be the same.
The eTorque definitely is working properly because the battery is showing 14.3v when the truck is running.
This is my second battery, but to your point, both Mopar. I just bought an Interstate AGM H7. I looked into the H8 but they were on the fence about it fitting. Either way, this should be a better upgrade from the Mopar.
I am on my 2nd dead battery on my 2019 Ram Rebel 5.7L eTorque. The main battery, not the 48v backpack. It's 11.9v at rest which is telling me its almost done. The first time it went dead it was under warranty and they had to replace the eTorque generator as well. I never found out why, but...
Finally installed my father's day gift. Carhartt Super Dux front seat covers. Paid up and went with the precision cut ones.
They are nice. $400 nice? I'm not sure. I was on the fence with Wet Okole's.
I think 1-2 people on here have had to do it to put TRX wheels on. Any tips tricks? It seems like the main concern is an opening behind the hub to remove and replace the lugs.
I shouldn't need to remove the hub, right?
Last night while changing my oil and rotating my tires I noticed one of my wheel studs on the front left wheel is a bit bent. I've always torqued to the recommended 130-135 ft/lbs so I am not sure how this happened.
In terms of replacement, is it as straightforward as removing the wheel...
Married with 1 kid, another on the way, and I can probably say it's just me in my truck 80-85% of the time. My wife prefers to drive it, which is a problem. She constantly gives me a hard time about me not letting her take it to work lol.
May not be everyone's cup of tea but I thought it was cool and I'm a proud American...so...
Purchased from Reflective Concepts. Their decals are actually very high quality.
Yeah I have no idea lol. Probably to drive people who do work on their own trucks crazy?
Couldn't they have just made it green...or red..and let it stay that color?
If by "turning off randomly in traffic" you mean at a stop light? Yes. It's not a big deal. I find it does not do it as often as other cars with auto-stop/start. It also restarts much quicker because it uses the eTorque motor.
I'd rather not have it but in terms of daily use, its not too bad.
Sorry for the delayed reply but believe it or not, it is actually purple to start. I spoke to my dealer. Apparently the purple stuff turns like a reddish/orange when it goes through heat cycles. I had a mini-panic when I thought I put the wrong coolant in. It is in-fact, supposed to be purple...
