    Bad midrange speakers? Upgrade?

So here’s what I’m thinking… Kicker 6.5” in lower door (DS series 60 watt RMS) Kicker 3.5” in dash (CS series 30 watt RMS) Would these be good choices considering I’m NOT adding an amp? Will the stock system power these fine or do I need to move up or down in RMS? And I’m still unsure of...

    Bad midrange speakers? Upgrade?

I completely understand what you mean. However I have played around a lot with the EQ so I know I can rule that out. I also wish the factory EQ settings were better in terms of being more adjustable. Now to add another layer to this…I’m going down the rabbit hole of now thinking of swapping...

    Bad midrange speakers? Upgrade?

Okay that’s great information because I didn’t know that about the tweeter not being usable. Thanks for the heads up!

    Bad midrange speakers? Upgrade?

One final question, since most speaker options are a 2 way (woofer with built in tweeter) that’s most likely the route I’ll go. But I’m wondering if I’ll lose a lot of that lower bass sound since the original door speaker is a midrange bass. For those that did change to a 2 way, did you notice a...

    Bad midrange speakers? Upgrade?

Oh okay I got ya. I looked those up and they look great. Thanks for the suggestion. And I’ll have to look into the kickers as well. So the consensus is swapping out the lower midrange speaker to a better one is a great upgrade? Thanks everyone!

    Bad midrange speakers? Upgrade?

So would replacing them with some 2 way 6.5 speakers be a nice upgrade to the overall sound? Also, Scab I have no idea what your post means? Are those nuclear codes by chance? 😂

    Bad midrange speakers? Upgrade?

Hey guys, first I’m sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but I haven’t come across a thread yet about what I’m experiencing specifically. I have a 2020 with the HK and while the system is loud, with good base and good highs, my in-door speakers are awful. And I don’t mean awful sounding…they...

    Weird AC issue

No kidding. The difference in hand is noticeable. I don’t live in a nuclear wasteland but I do live in west Texas…and more specifically the flattest place on earth where 20mph wind is an average day. So the idea of a HEPA is pretty good, but not great in practice

    Weird AC issue

Hey guys sorry it took me so long to reply back. Absolutely just a HEPA filter problem. Changed it out for a regular filter and air flow is normal now. I bought a HEPA because that’s all oriellys had at the time. Wouldn’t recommend. Thanks for all the answers

    Weird AC issue

Maybe? Maybe the HEPA filters more because it’s thicker and let’s less air flow though?

    Weird AC issue

I checked to see if I accidentally put it in upside down already. I’ll pull it out and test the air flow with no filter and see what happens

    Weird AC issue

This is a strange one. I recently changed my cabin air filter and now my AC is not blowing as hard as it was before the change. The air is still ice cold and coming out of all vents, but I have to have it on speed 7 to cool the truck down. 1-3 speeds basically no air comes out at all. I’ve...

    Digressive shocks to linear

Thanks again for the replies everyone. I’m leaning towards going with the 2.0 coilovers and maybe adding some UCA’s as well.

    Digressive shocks to linear

Thank you both for the information. I’ll look into the differences between digressive and linear. And yes I know the fox set up uses the eibach springs, but since I’m still on my stock springs I wonder if the combination of the different shocks and different springs would make a difference in...

    Digressive shocks to linear

Hey guys, I’m currently running the Eibach adjustable shocks with my stock spring and stock UCA. They’ve been decent, I’d say pretty close to factory ride, but I’m thinking about trying the Fox 2.0 coilovers. I find the eibachs acceptable but I can’t help but think there’s better out there...

    Better SQ with just speakers

Thanks for the reply’s and hopefully more will chime in. Jws…why have surround turned off? Scap…did you have the 19 speaker HK? And I’m guessing you did just the 6x9 in the lower door? Left the tweeters in the upper door?

    Better SQ with just speakers

Hey everyone, Been looking through all the threads but I believe I have a specific question that hasn’t been asked/answered yet. Like many I’m less than satisfied with the HK system. It’s plenty loud, and the bass is good enough for me. But even turned up loud the sound is muddy and just not...

    Rear spring spacer Jeep?

Possibly. I’ll look into that and see what I come up with.

    Rear spring spacer Jeep?

Searching google for rear gladiator spring spacers returned quite a few results but honestly didn’t see much or look very hard because no one has really been able to confirm the gladiator spacer will work. On another forum a guy mentioned Rubicon springs are identical and that’s what he was...
