Yeah, I worked on a NBS Chevy a while back......that was CAKE to remove the lights. Less than a minute and both where out.
These better not need service......there is nothing to get at, other than the ballast under the headlight.
I haven't touched one of those personally - done about 30-40 sets of those lights though. Who knows, maybe it was the flares people where complaining about......lol
I've learned over the years of business.......not to post pricing on social media / forums, etc. Things change, this thread will be here for years - and I wouldn't want to mislead a customer.
Best bet, email me - [email protected] and we can get you a quote. I'm in the process of getting...
What year? Since 15 the F150s have had to have the lower panel removed, and I thought grill......hard to remember all of them!
:geek: TY! Just trying to assist - I knew reading through the tech instructions on it - well.....it could be a bit more descriptive. All good. Helped to know...
Bah.......not that I work on vehicles daily, but I work on their headlights! I mean.......its why I bought the truck, Rams are my primary market - so......might as well get the new one, have (probably) the first set of customized lights done on them - and.....get those pics of them out there...
So.....removed the headlights today, what a blast that was! This is not meant to be a thorough walkthrough, but a simple guide.
Pics are from a '19 Ram 1500 Laramie Sport with the mid level LED lights. I would assume the process is the similar for all models (non flare equipped...
That.....of course.......and these other MOPARs too:
2016 Ram Big Horn 4x4, lowered 2/3 on 22" Hellcat Reps
And.....my 2016 Hellcat. Bagged fun on that booger!
Its what I do guys......I own a headlight customization business. I have suppliers for the heads and tails.
These.....well, they aren't cheap! The heads are close to $800 a pop, tails I think are right there with it. I'd have to find my invoices on those......but, yeah - all OEM parts from a...
Simple mod.......but I wanted the darker tails found on the blackout trucks - swapped those in for the red trimmed ones.
Side by side:
Different from the prior years......they now have 2 bolts and 2 fasteners holding them in. Nothing crazy, but seems a bit overkill.
I think we'll get a lot of calls for that......which is great, just a lot of work to get them opened and to a point where we can pull that shroud off of the bezel to paint. It is plastic welded in (not a biggy) - but......yeah, loads of fun there!
That guy is annoying as hell......
Melanie didn't come see me when I was buying my truck. I took mine to a different shop.....but anyway - with mine - as mentioned before, this is my 4th one being done. With 2 years of experience with coating on my stuff, I can say - it works great. Sure...
Its great, though some places overhype it to make customers think that nothing sticks to it, you'll never get dirty, etc.......which is BS.
Yes, the truck is going to get dirty, but.....most of the time just a quick powerwash and you are set.
