I'd love to see pics of a truck with either of these fender flare options and 20x10 -18 wheels. I realize that wish is particular, but the ideal truck is a Rebel with 295/70-20 AT tires and factory air ride suspension.
Thank you for creating this post. I pondered the possibility of replacing my stock flares with those for a TRX, but was discouraged by comments from other members who argued it wouldn't fit. It doesn't seem like anyone else has taken this leap of faith to attempt the experiment.
I found that...
@CaptainSumTingWong (or others), how about this wheel/tire setup without a level? I have factory air suspension with Revel links. I am not pushing the boundaries by any means, adding only a .5" rise over stock, with no intention of installing spacers or UCAs. Will it fit with some heat gun work...
Also worth mentioning, I own a Rebel, which adds some complexity to the leveling calculus. My objective is to have the back sit 1/2" to 1" higher than the front. I already have the front and rear Revel links to fine-tune the stance once I've installed the spacers and UCAs.
While not air...
I ordered the setup, which sells at a reasonable price of $529. (It's not yet shipping, so I'm in the holding pattern.) My truck is an asphalt queen, and I'm not concerned with a heavy-duty UCA. The Revel links create the trade-off between appearance and comfort, and any attempt to achieve a...
I think you're right. I found this beauty, and it is likely sitting on the 18x9.5 ET-18. I would like to see how the spokes elongate with the 20's, but I'll probably stick with 18's because I'm known for cutting corners and thrashing curbs.
I'll be honest, I don't need new wheels, but I NEED these wheels. It looks like they dropped last fall, and there are a few examples of them in the wild. As you know, it isn't easy to find exact photos because there's so much variability in size, concave, offset, blah blah blah. Generic product...
I’m not a fan of aftermarket fender flares because most options are too bulky or have a non-OEM appearance (attachment hardware or other unfavorable design elements). The OEM flares have a clean look, but are a bit too “pinner” for my taste, especially when rolling negative offset wheels. I’m...
Thanks, and please keep the replies coming. I've pondered abandoning the factory air suspension in favor of a Carli setup, so that may happen eventually. Really comes down to how long I intend to keep the truck.
When I replaced my stock wheels and tires I went with BFG K02 in 285/65/18 because I was hesitant to attempt anything larger, but after living with them for a year and a half, they just aren't beefy enough to match the Rebel's attitude. I recently came close to pulling the trigger on some Ridge...
Welp, that "sleeve fix" didn't stick, but I did use a T40 torx bit to adjust the stud outward ever so slightly and that seems to have solved the problem.
There's a plastic sleeve that "floats" around the stud and the right side had more abrasion/gnarls than the left. I took a rasp to it and reduced the circumference by ~1mm and that seems to have done the trick – it released 20 times without a hitch. I'll give it a couple weeks and report back to...
