That's exactly what I did after Jeremy from RS told me the same thing. I managed to fit my hand into the tight-ish spaces and swap the adapters around. The issue followed the adapter.
RS has already said they'll ship out a new one tomorrow. Excellent customer service. :)
My dealer said they'd charge me around $200 for a '17 fob back at the start of the year. I can manage the $200 for just one fob for now and then whatever it needs to get it to work. Perhaps I need to call my dealership and enquire. :D
I'm one of those guys that would rather have one key instead...
Hey guys,
I tried searching the forums really quickly from my phone and didn’t find what I was looking for.
Has anyone added an OEM remote start to their truck? Is it something we can do? I wouldn’t mind doing this to mine as I would like to start it in the winter.
It’s just another thing I’d...
You're right, they are easy enough to remove. I just don't want to be doing it in 35 degree weather. :D
.... this is so strange.
It was working this morning when I first turned on my truck. Stopped at the post office, came back to the right side out again. I get home with them being switched...
I reseated them all, no change, so I gave up and went inside as it was dark out anyway. Later on I took out the trash, decided to look at it one more time and they were working. Went for a drive with multiple stops, no problems. I’m not sure what happened.
As I posted in the my other thread;
Well, the weirdest thing happened... I was looking at it in the dark and all of a sudden it came back to life. That leads me to believe that the LED assembly wasn't to blame as the full beam, indicator and running lights were still functioning fine. Is it...
Well, the weirdest thing happened... I was looking at it in the dark and all of a sudden it came back to life. That leads me to believe that the LED assembly wasn't to blame as the full beam, indicator and running lights were still functioning fine. Is it possible that my adapter from RetroShop...
Hey guys,
As some of you may recall, I replaced the factory lights myself back in the summer.
Today, I get to my truck and notice immediately that the front right light is out.
I'm looking for some advice. I've already called BAM to organize a possible replacement, but I am wondering if I...
Probably in the snow belt. I couldn’t believe how bad my ‘17 was. I paid for the under body protection on mine as I didn’t want that happening to my new truck.
Lovely truck! And lovely pricing on those rims. I gave mine a love nudge on a curb and have considered getting a spare pair with summer/winter tires for each so that I don’t have to use these terrible all-weather wheels they gave us with the truck.
I miss the Goodyear’s that were on my ‘17...
Best source is to purchase online. I’ll try to dig up the numbers for you, but someone may beat me to it.
Alternatively, take the light out (two hex screws and two plastic clips) and you’ll find the exact part number on there.
I’ve only had three people flash me since I installed them a few months ago. I think it’s mostly people who just don’t get that these are the new lighting standard and think your brights are on.
Thank you! I figured that was the case, but I wasn’t sure without opening it up. :)
I’m definitely more intrigued and will be installing a camera soon.
Hey guys,
I am looking into a dashcam for obvious reasons. I am unsure how I am going to give it always-on power, though.
Is there an internal fuse box within the truck that can be accessed easily for a fuse tap? If not, how have you installed your dashcam(s)? I am curious and would love to...
Hard to find genuine annoyance with my truck. It makes me smile every time I start her up or walk towards her.
The only annoyance I think is that the mileage is way lower than my 4th gen from ‘17. It’s weird... just cannot get close to advertised numbers. I get the same at highway speeds or...
It all depends where you’re based. If you have lots of humidity, it’ll encourage growth. If you’re in dry heat, not so much. It’s normal and nothing to worry about.
