I had Cooper Discoverer AT3 on my last vehicle, and overall it was a great tire (quiet, good traction, long wear life). It was OK in snow (not severe snow rated, but was MS rated in the size I had). So far the stock Falken AT3WA have been fine, but once I wear them down a bit it needs bigger...
I'll add that for a long hitch you could probably trim the license plate frame a little and be OK, but to use a winch you need an extension for the front hitch, and it appears I'll be finding a different way to mount my license plate (it isn't held in by a whole lot anyway to be honest!)
I went for dorky (and a good ground plane;) ) too.
As mentioned above there is a grommet you can go through to the rear of the underfloor storage bins.
I like the rack system! I fabricated something for fixed mounts to use with my Ram tonneau frame, but I wish someone made something...
Having installed the front hitch it IS possible to install both, but very likely not ideal as you need to install a spacer for the rear tow hook that is approximately the same thickness as the Curt hitch, which means the metal tube stud does not contact the tow hitch as fully as it would...
I don't have a picture, but I'll describe better where it is / how to see it.
Front under the truck (passengers side in my case) crawl under the rear door and look up at the storage box in the floor. To the rear you'll see the plug I"m referring to.
Front inside the truck you need to remove...
I was misled on another site as well, and have a Curt front hitch sitting in my garage right now I'd hoped would be mounted up this evening. I don't see how the tow hooks and hitch can both be bolted on, even with longer hardware without a bit of fabrication work. I may look at it more...
Good to hear - I just ordered them hoping to do the same (raise the front and lower the rear ever so slightly to have a mostly level truck).
I'm also contemplating the Curt front mount receiver; I'd originally planned on the ADD Stealth bumper and winch, but I may go for a winch tray and use my...
I fabricated brackets that bolt on between the tonneau rail and bed that are an inverted "L" shape so the Thule "feet" are bolted to them. Yakima feet appear to long for the front. This allows an expedition rack on back (6' in my case, as I already had it). Great to have the (covered) bed for...
I like my ORG air suspension Laramie, BUT if I wasn't towing occasionally I don't think I'd go air suspension. My last vehicle had it (and worked fine with few problems for 11 years) so perhaps that positive experience with another brand has me less concerned about reliability / maintenance...
I think the LR wristband just gets you in the car (of course, I could just lock my key in then I guess!).
Given my other 4wd is non-synchronous (double-clutch 1st and 2nd) and has a choke still, this keyless (without even using the keyfob) entry stuff is new to me, but I'm surprised they don't...
My Laramie is my first vehicle with this type of keyless entry and push-button start. Sure, the key fob has controls on it, but I find I don't use them at all. So what I'd really like is a "Ram Watch" that replaces the key fob (this might have something to do with me inevitably leaving the key...
One of the things I like most about air suspension is for the ability for it to keep the vehicle level when towing, loaded, etc.... My truck has a significant rake (like you'd see in an empty truck) all the time; I'd prefer it be level.
I've also noticed that the rear drops less than the...
If you are going to use it off road or in deep snow it is worth it.
If not, save weight and get better mileage without it (unless you are going for the look).
I have ORP and air suspension, and look forward to exploring the trucks capabilities:)
I stopped in yesterday to the dealer as I couldn't figure it out from their description - it was the vertical pieces where the bed extender lug and nut attach through. Since I already had them, and mine were fine, I told them to keep them. I think they ordered them by mistake thinking more was...
Dealer called me today and told me my bed rail end covers were in... I didn't order them, so I"m assuming it was something they thought should be replaced, or the factory has recalled something - anyone else receive a call? I have Ramboxes, so I'm sure it is specific to those bed units. Late...
I too like buttons, but really like the screen and I've gotten used to it quickly.
The only button I wish was easier to access was turning the heated steering wheel off! It's only two touches away to being off though, so it really isn't bad.
The surround camera looks awesome on it, and I use...
Edwards, I think it all depends on how you look at it.
I've looked at it as this thread (which you participated in) https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/off-road-air-suspension-heights.351/page-2
states - namely the OR2 is the same for both, OR1 for a standard truck is "normal" mode for...
I'll need to track down where I found it, but it appeared OR2 was the same, normal reached OR1.
You are right Aero ORP is still slightly higher than non ORP normal I think.
