Penfed.org is who I've used frequently. At the time I purchased mine, they were 2.99% on 72 months... while the dealer was at 3.35 (something like that)... and when I told the dealer the Penfed rate, he came back with 2.64% thru Bank of America, who I've also used in the past. I just checked...
Same thing here... AIR80 on the windshield and IRX on the sides. $700, but he did come to me to do the tinting, so it was worth the extra.
I think the key is it helps keep the cabin cooled down easier once it gets cool... provided you get some quality tint.
Only mentioned it because some purists claim there is a sound difference, but that's also why I mentioned it would "endure" as good as anything else. I've seen 3 feet of 22 gauge wire in uber high-end home subs with 2,000+ watts of power used. It really just doesn't make a difference in these...
I tapped in at the same location under the seat. If I were a betting man, I would bet $10,000 no one could hear a difference in an A/B blind test with any consistency... and that this wiring will endure as good as anything else you were to do. Home runs might make you feel feel better and give...
Finally got a pic of the 6-channel amp and miniDSP install, seats now back in and all is running smooth. It sound phenomenal.
Very tight area to work with, but I managed it. This is where the factory subwoofer was located... all covered up by the rear panel, hence no reason to make it look...
I got a shipping estimate on my order just a couple of days ago. lol... after all the emails and messages, and even PayPal attempting to contact them, AND me already receiving an refund, they still can't get it right. If they ship them, I'll do my best to refuse them if I talk to the delivery...
I agree... if you do replace the doors, it's likely you won't really notice much of a volume or sound difference unless you really crank them up, which is where the CDT will be able to handle more excursion and have less distortion. The factory doors seem to be able to do pretty well even at...
I'm surprised you need the bass blockers. I know in the HK and Alpine systems they are already crossed over at 300Hz, but it may be different in the base system.
You may not notice as much of a difference in volume going from a 4 ohm to an 8 ohm speaker.
I'll just bow out of the conversation since apparently I don't "know it all"... and I never claimed to, simply stating facts. Unsubscribed / unwatched... no time to argue.
You can easily use a PAC AmpPRO to get signal from the headunit and add an aftermarket amp that takes the place of the factory amp. Bunches of folks have done this. I've done it on my last two RAM trucks. However, if I'm going to the trouble of adding an amp, I'm going to upgrade the...
The wattage isn't really what determines the volume, the wattage is in the amp, and it's set in a factory system. Most any of the aftermarket speakers will handle the factory amp wattage... thus how much wattage the speakers will handle will have little effect on the volume. The volume is...
If anyone is interested in tuning their system with the miniDSP C-DSP 8x12 DL unit, I have created a step by step guide on setting it up and using it. It is incredible how good it can make a system sound, but of course it's for the guys who really want to get serious with aftermarket audio...
Just a heads up... as I know there were several folks looking for the Bilstein 5100 and other models, and for a few weeks they were hard to find. Most everyone online was out of stock. I ordered a set from RealTruck.com and thought they were on their way right about that time frame of them...
You can test the signal with a 9 volt battery to see what the phase is, however, you probably won't be able to use that high-level signal because you are going to amplify the ANC, which is what causes issues/droning in these systems. You are better offer using a PAC AmpPRO and getting a clean...
Hmmm... not my kind of music here. I like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin... and a few others. No head bangin stuff. Probably the hardest I get it Shinedown.
Here's my favorites that are really good for demo music as well as I just like them a lot.
Yello - One Second (Remastered)
Yello - Touch...
No... not in the HK system. The dash speakers are high-passed around 300Hz from the factory, so nothing else is needed. I'm not sure on the Alpine system, but if you have a measurement microphone and REW (free download at our forum over at AV NIRVANA), you can place the mic at the dash speaker...

You have to trim one of the tabs off (the one that will be towards the window) to get it to fit. There are some threads on these if you search "faitalpro".
