Nope, on the stock air suspension the 33s clear with tons of room, even in the lowest suspension setting. I could have put 35s on with ease.
The wheel is more of an issue. I have 20x9 +18 wheels. The 20x10 will not fit (in this wheel style) as they won't clear the upper A-arm/ball joint.
I have the 3.21s and I just put 33s on my truck. I commute 30 miles each way on the freeway and am getting between 19.1 and 17.5 on the hwy. In town I am getting between 16.7 and 14.5. My combined tank has been around 16-17. And it still tows my 5500 lb boat/trailer just fine.
If you do it and don't like it you can easily peel it off and it isn't a huge investment. I tried Sapphire black too, but it had a bit too much blue in it for my tastes, but it was sparkly! (I actually left it on the 1500 badges). Don't spray the clear in the sun either, do it in the shade. My...
And I spent 3 hours cleaning it yesterday.
And I got new wheels and tires.
And I got my windows tinted.
And my 14 year old daughter wanted to make a cool video for me.
Wow that is personal. LOL :ROFLMAO:
I used one can each for everything you see: Uni-Brow on hood, mirror caps, Ram on tailgate and Limited badge, 1500 hood badges.
I need to get another can of black to fix my mirrors, but they were easier than I thought. I wasn't sure how crisp the line...
Ram is: Diamond black crystal pearl
Base is standard black then...

Then Glossifier top coat for the shine. (lots of wet coats)
Got my new wheels and tires on! No rubbing at all. In fact it has room for days! Could easily put 35s on there with the stock air suspension. Rides and drives wonderful. It feel a lot more planted now than with the stock narrower tires. No road hum either. These tires are very quiet.
Wheels...
The clear does peel. For all the Plastidip you just need to get a pretty good coat on even where you want to peel, so it makes a nice sheet of rubber to pull off, if that makes sense. Here is the front uni-brow and the tailgate. I did the mirror caps as well, but I need to re-do them. My masking...
I didn't break any, but I would definitely do it when it was warm, or I would heat them up a bit to make sure they aren't too brittle. Find a pic online of the backside and you will see the tab placement. That might help, but it wasn't hard to get them off.
Yes, normal height. It has tons of room lock to lock when turning too.
The tire is VERY close to the A-arm at the ball joint, but it clears fine and that clearance doesn't change at all. I was tempted to add a 1/4" spacer to the front for clearance and for stance, but didn't do it. Might do it...
