It’s just insurance. My goal is to pay my truck off early (3 yrs vs 5.5 yrs), then bank some payments for a bit so I’ll have cash for any large repairs (self insure / emergency fund). I don’t drive much now either so I don’t expect the factory warranty to run out based on mileage.
I made it very clear with my insurance company I would not accept any fault and that if they decided it was “cheaper” to accept as such it’s on them, not me.
Your truck was parked, not even on the street. There is zero fault for you or the shop. The arbitration will take time, but just be clear...
I had a situation like this a long time ago. eventually (about a year) I got my deductible back as my insurance company won the fight and was reimbursed by the other. Your truck was parked. There is no way State Farm is going to not be liable when their customer drove into your truck (doesn’t...
I bought the Vled plate lamp too. Haven’t installed it yet. I plan to just mount it upside down on the bottom of the plate to avoid issues with the tailgate.
Thanks for reminding me to vote now that I have my truck.
These photos are on the day i drove it home. It was hot and petty humid too (but not raining or anything). My truck has the large sun roof. This was at highway speeds. It was 93F out, truck Climate Control in Auto at 68F. Blowing 50-51F...
I found Laramie LV1 much easier to find than BH Level 2 trucks, and Laramie includes as standard the LED lighting, Heated & Cooled leather seats (your katskin won't be as nice), auto high beams, auto wipers, and some other features I prefer. I ended up ordering my Laramie though, but if I were...
That seems like a great deal. Also note the MSRP typically included the +$1695 destination, so make sure they aren't adding that back in by mistake.
Check the window sticker for actual MSRP. You can look it up online with the vin at https://windowstickerlookup.com/
Wow that is crazy! So sorry to hear. I have a paint issue (but minor) that has been annoying to get resolved, but that is more of a local dealer BS than anything.
My AC works great. I picked it up Aug 10th.
I’m not really upset that I have a paint issue; crap happens. I sell HVAC equipment for a living. I’m successful because of how I handle situations like this for my customer. They know I didn’t make the product or ship it. But I handle it for them as quickly and painless for them as possible...
So the joke somewhat continues. Ramcares messaged me back and suggested I call the customer care team. I did that, she was helpful, but ultimately she called dealers near my zip code to see if they had a body shop... all of which answered "no". She was very nice, but I just said if that was all...
My order was "protected"; meaning I had an agreed price on the truck based on the available rebates at the time I ordered. So I knew exactly what it would cost (worst case).
If the rebates were better at time of delivery I could apply those and pay less for the truck.
If the rebates were worse...
Glad you like it. I just did it to help clarify things here and for myself when checking numbers. Every dealer organizes the numbers a bit different so it helps get through it.
