    Dumb question- 4 Auto

I have it and that’s where I read it. Says exactly that word for word (anti spin differential rear axle $495). Also have 3.92 rear axle ratio

    Dumb question- 4 Auto

Thanks everyone. Sounds like I can just go to 4 Auto all the time. So I’m curios, what is my anti spin differential axle supposed to do anyway? Because it definitely SPINS while in 2WD

    Dumb question- 4 Auto

Since I’ve owned my 2024 Limited for the last few months I’ve occasionally used 4H or 4 auto when the roads had snow on them. But most of the time, use 2 on dry pavement. But this past weekend I had pulled over the side of the road a few times while looking for something and each time the tires...

Security Thoughts on trucks other than TRX

Agree with most sentiments on this thread. Piece of mind for some thing is worth quite a bit and when you pay 50-80k for a vehicle 1-2k is not really an issue. I guess I should really start a thread on the IGLA or others. (Yes, I’ve seen a ton and one thread that was early 2023 where someone...

    Navigation Question

Yeah and with the layoffs I’m wondering if that will ever happen now. I did read about your alternative but the few items I looked at seem to have horrible reviews. Maybe that’s changed from when I looked into this on my brothers car about a year ago…

Security Thoughts on trucks other than TRX

Yeah, around here same thing, and most are because people get out and leave there car running. Or just leave it unlocked. But it’s the trips to other states that had me thinking and why I posted this thread.

Security Thoughts on trucks other than TRX

I have seen and read quite a bit about it. Then seen it get shredded by one of the IGLA installers that is on both forums. Seems like it’s good for low end/no tech thefts almost like the club (which is where I started my initial thought process; then saw how easily they removed by cutting the...

    Navigation Question

Agreed on the using AA full screen. Not a deal breaker but I really wish I knew what (or with whom) this issue is. Stellantis, etc. My brother had his new Subaru a few years and last year I believe they (or someone) finally pushed an update to give full screen. His screen looks like our 12”...

Security Thoughts on trucks other than TRX

Hopefully that remains true and good to know. And yes, probably paranoid, but it’s always a thin line between paranoid and prepared I guess…and ironically I never thought twice about a vehicle being stolen till I started reading this forum. Either way, I appreciate your opinion

Security Thoughts on trucks other than TRX

New to owning Ram trucks as of last month. I’ve joined this forum as well as read quite a bit on the RAM TRX Forum. Didn’t realize so many trucks were being stolen but not surprised. Having said that, everything I have seen on this (so far) has been about the TRX, not the other versions/trims...

    July 2023 Map updates out

Just wanted to say, I updated to the latest maps today. I formatted to NTFS on a new thumb drive and plugged into my 2024 Limited. For whatever reason the first attempt didn’t work while driving around, but probably because I was going all sorts of other things with the system while it was...

    Nav Map OTA Updates Disabled

I think in todays modern age of digital everything (which is basically my current Limited), yes it (latest maps and U5 firmware) SHOULD part of a dealerships checklist. More so if it’s something they may even charge for down the road. But obviously it’s not. But who knows, maybe current...

    Nav Map OTA Updates Disabled

Okay, a few dumb questions here. My 2024 Limited shows 2023.03.004.28/21995/13182747/44942, says released 4/2023. Last Installed map release date 4/7/2023. But the truck was only just BUILT 12/2023. First, what’s with the massive amount of numbers after what looks like a 3/2024 install version...

Cleaning/washing “Night Edition” Grill of 2024 Limited

Curios to know of any other OCD people on here that may have the black night edition grill. Did my first hand wash today to get rid of the salt and wow, my OCD keeps me at that grill over and over trying to get it clean. I sprayed it, washed it, Soaped it, rinsed it and dang. There must be a...

    Battery question and layup period

Thanks everyone. I’m in agreement, better to know, so I’ll leave it as is when I leave. I back into the garage so it’s easy to get to the front/battery if I need to charge or jump when I’m back.

    Battery question and layup period

I’ve got a pre-emptive battery question. I have a new 2024 limited under 500 miles with no issues (starting, etc). I’ve read a few threads on here about issues with battery drain and dead battery. While I don’t believe that means I’ll have that issue (and yes I do have the app with all its...

    Maps update failure!

On a phone, it will continue to work if you are on a route, even if no cell coverage (as long as you started the route with coverage). If it has to re-route with no coverage you’d be in trouble and may even lose the map portion unless you’ve downloaded the maps. Although even with downloaded...

    Key FOB Security

Not to hijack this thread, I can start a new one if necessary. But I see many people responding have a TAZER DT listed in their current equipment if their truck. While I did briefly look at the website for this, can anyone summarize how this works and/or how easy it is to beat? That part is...

Can you feel the regenerative braking doing its thing?

Yup. Glad I’m not the only one using something like this. It just seems weird they went through so much trouble with the 48v system to get people to forget the start stop button when they could just NOT include it. Sorry mini rant. I know they use the system for other reasons as well.
