    Delayed running board retracting.

It might well be "normal" for them to operate inconsistently. :D

New issue, zero throttle response after "cold" start

If this is indeed common, owners should report it to the NHTSA. A dead accelerator pedal is a safety hazard.

What do you dislike about your gen5 truck?

Long pants and a tucked in shirt on Maui? That just seems wrong.

    Check Engine Light

You should get a code reader of some sort. A cheap, generic one won't pick up codes from all of the systems in the truck, but the check engine light is on, there will be code that visible to a generic reader.

RAM 1500 can handle a heavy payload easily.

IMO, this concern over lugs is misplaced. Think about the instantaneous loads they withstand when you hit a pot hole. An extra 750 lbs of static load per side isn't likely to break them.

    DEF consumption, normal?

FCA does not wish to be accused of cheating again. Seriously, part of the motivation to cheat, at least among the European manufacturers, was to keep the DEF tank reasonably small and while not needing to be refilled between oil changes. In Europe most of the diesel cars run on...

Crack in body - Bad weld?

Totally OT, but make sure change the oil in that generator. After two weeks of use, even if intermittent, it's probably over-due.

What do you dislike about your gen5 truck?

I went to my local dealer today and drove two trucks; one with and one without air suspension. I can see where a person coming from a Lexus would like the air. But to me, it felt too detached from the road, and I actually preferred the steel. So I ordered a Laramie, exactly the way I...

    Owner to Be

So I went to a local dealer today and drove two trucks: First: a Limited diesel, obviously with air suspension, and 22" rims. My reaction to that one is that the suspension felt quite "rubbery", making it difficult to judge what the wheels and tires were actually doing. Second: a...

    Owner to Be

Thanks. A friend of mine in "the trade" also recommended Kernersville and I've looked at their inventory. The darker exterior colors and 22" rims are a deal breaker for me.

What do you dislike about your gen5 truck?

I'm fixing to become an owner and I'm leaning toward coils, but that's primarily due to reliability concerns. Most everything else I've read seems to indicate the ride quality with air is indeed better, and self-leveling under load is nice feature too. The question in my mind is whether it's...

    Owner to Be

I've searched inventory at a zillion dealers and nobody has the truck I want, or anything even close. I guess I'll be ordering one. :) Here is my ideal build. Comments welcome. I'm aware of possible Rambox issues. I'm aware what I'm getting myself into with the 3.0 diesel. I've...

Curious: What don't you like about the ride quality with the air suspension?
